Like you I'll only be sending a few FQ's as Australian postage is so expensive. Still it will be nice to receive some different fabrics in return. It should be fun!

Just posting a reply to ensure I continue to receive updates. I seem to have lost my threads I am chatting on since the upgrade to the website. Oh well I will just have to find them all again. I hope you are not being buried beneath fat quarters Carsey he he

Hi Miraabelle, This same thing happened to me. Go to page one. Look at the top right for thread tools. Click on unsubscribe. Then, immediately resubscribe. You need to choose how to get your emails or otherwise you will get buried in emails.

ok, my fabric is ready to ship but my question is about the signed scraps that you send with the FQ...is every one doing that? And what kind of signature? pen? or thread ? not sure to go about doing that?

INTERNATIONAL Fabric Swap

Fat Quarters of different fabric from different countries swap. I will never be able to travel the world, but I would really love to have fabrics from all over the world. What a neat quilt that would make!!! Are there any international quilters out there that would love to swap fabrics????

I thought we could run this for a while so we can utilize the sales for the holidays from now through Christmas. Sign-up will close on January 5, 2012. PM me if you wish to join.

You can send in as many different fat quarters as you would like. You will receive as many back as you send in. There is no limit.

ADDING A SIGNATURE scrap with the fabrics. It was suggested that we add a small scrap of fabric signed by us and where we are from, to go with each FQ. One for each of your FQ's. That way who ever gets your fabric would have a signature scrap to go with it. I would LOVE to include the signature scraps with my quilt that I will be making from the international fabrics. I would feel like each person is a part of my quilt. The scraps can be a scrap big enough to sign our name, board name, and where we live. They can be any size!!!! Or you can choose to make a block if you want. This could take place of marking EACH ONE of your fabrics with a little slip of paper. It is totally up to you.

Please mark EACH ONE of your fabrics with a little slip of paper. Please include your real name (optional), Board name, and the country it is from.

Please put your fat quarters into the mail no later than January 10, 2012. Please pm me for my address. If there is going to be a problem with having them here by the deadline, please pm me. You also have the option of dropping out of the swap.

I will mail them back out by January 30, 2012 or as close to that as possible.

Send them to me along with a self-addressed, stamped envelope for return postage... whatever it cost to send it to me, it will cost to return them back to you...so be sure to put enough postage on your envelope.

Please review the rules that apply to all swaps. They apply to this swap, too. http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-20154-1.htm

(one exception - swappers are not required to prewash the FQ. It's recommended, but not mandatory.)

I went into my computer and looked for the program to print business cards, or you could use post card size. I opened the program, inserted a quilty picture and added my name, board name, city, state and country and printed out on fabric treated for printers. You can get packets of the treated fabric at Walmart, Office Depot etc. You may be able to print on white fabric ironed onto 8 1/2 x 11" freezer paper. Can someone who knows expand on printing on plain fabric?

Re: Fabric labels. I went to u-tube and there is a video on there. The main thing is to enjoy this swap. I won't mind what type of label once I know who the sender is. If I have the information I can make my own block with the names. Looking forward to January 2012.
