I think we are all hoping for some international fabrics, but we will have to wait and see.
We are very thankful to you Carsey for all you (and your helpers) are doing! |

We are very thankful to you Carsey for all you (and your helpers) are doing! this swap was the reason I joined the board, and I've got to say, I'm loving what I'm seeing here. I'm a crazy busy mom of 3 kids 4 and under, so there's not a lot of project time, but I'm getting lots of inspiration and ideas. I think I'm going to make my first "traditional" quilt. the few I've made so far have been big single piece blocks (I'm an instant results type crafter :D ) or applique, no paper peicing, no foundation piecing, no triangles, none of what I would consider to be the basic, traditional quilting methods. so I am really looking forward to learning more on this board and maybe trying out a block swap, or boomerang swap some time in the future...like maybe 5 years when they are all in school! :D |
I have a mug with all the wildlife on it if people want to add a couple of little things I can make a glass stirrer with a mug rug. Maybe some choc. or tea bags or coffee bags and a nice one for our wonderful hostess. If you want to do something pm me because I will set up the care package so carsey doesn't have to do anything but give it to him or her. Carsey is it a mailman or lady?

One of the fabrics I sent was of the world it's really pretty.

I also labeled each piece of fabric with a postcard of the Maine flower lupine. I took the photo and had it made into a postcard.

You need to PM Carsey for her address.

I have my fat quarters ready to put in the mail, but I don't know where to send them. I will keep checking this weekend so I can get them out on Monday. I am sorry that I did not already get this information but I had a dear friend die on Wednesday and it has kept me off track for a while since he has been under Hospice care for the last three weeks. I understand that there may not be enough foreign FQ that I will get all foreign back. I feel certain that they will be nice so it does not matter. Thank you for all of the work that you are doing on this project.

Carsey, how many of us are there in the swap? (Just curious... I have not been able to find a way to view a list of participants like the old format of the board.)
I put a short explanation of why I chose the fabric, my board name and state, with the fq's. I hope that is sufficient. |

It is a mail MAN. LOL I received more packages yesterday from:
smcfadden sassy stitcher tropit I will try to give everyone at least 1 FQ from over seas. More if we have them. I have been trying to keep a list of all requests. I need to go back through all of the pm's to see what I missed. Look on page 56 for the spreadsheet with the list of swappers. There have been some cancel and others have joined. At this moment I don't know what the final total is. It is still somewhere around 200. I took a picture of the pile of packages that I have. So far it just looks like a pile of .......... packages. lol Also the other night it got down in the low 20's and I had to pick the rest of my fruit. Here is a picture of it in a box and bags that we used to pick it. Needless to say I am eating lots of fruit. |
