Any clue of the theme for the August swap?
Thanks |
It took some doing. I do not do much hand work so thought it turned out adorable. I got quite good at french knots. The trim is from my antique stash of goodies. Matched so well. The fat quarter I used is from Buggy Barn. You are so worth it Red.

Oh dear!!! No wonder you were excited to have me get this pin cushion quiltermomma! How darling! This has got to be my favorite pin cushion ever! Thank you so very much for making it for me. I love that you sent the extra matching fabric to the back of the cushion. I can make a little something to go with it. How nice of you. I just love the butterfly card too. I just feel so special.

Well I love it quiltermomma. It is sitting on my drawer shelf right by my work area where I can see it all day. :~) Thank you again.
ps.) I happened to run across the pattern at shabby fabrics yesterday. Boy, they have the cutest patterns there. |
Yes, they do.

Two packages on the way!! One to where one of my ex husbands lived (LOL- all my exes do NOT live in Texas) and the other far away where as a child I went to visit my great grandmother- and play in water!! Lucky it was a visit as I don't speak the major language spoken there

I mailed my pincushions today. Be on the lookout if you haven't received one of yours. Love, Laura

Thank you, Betty Maxwell
I received a beautiful Amish puzzle ball pincushion from Betty Maxwell. I am so delighted to have it. For years, I've looked at the pattern and decided not to make it until I develop more patience with tiny pieces to turn and stuff. I am still severely lacking in patience. Betty chose hot summer colors which were perfect with the theme. They were so good, in fact, that I had to watch my sister carefully as she tried to "liberate" it. Betty did hers in felt and her work was exquisite. I think I might be able to do one in felt with the seams on the outside. There would be no turning and stuffing would be easier. Besides, now I know I can ask Betty for suggestions if I get stuck. Thank you so much Betty. Could someone please let me know Betty's QB name so I can send her a pm? Thanks.

I received a pincushion from Wendy (IrelandDragonQuilting) that she thought might be perfect for me. Indeed it was perfect for me. It is done in my favorite colors, blue (aqua) and pink. It looks like a bottle cap pincushion, which I absolutely love to make and collect. She had enlarged her design to meet our size requirements. The background is aqua and the flowers on the top and sides are pink with green leaves. Each petal has a pink line of embroidery on it. The center of each flower is beaded. I love it and am honored to receive it. Thank you, Wendy. Love, Laura
