Today I visited a wonderful new quilt shop which specializes in Civil War fabric. Gorgeous fabrics. I selected 3 to use in the 3rd round of Gramma Kittens quilt. I then came home and decided to use a new method I just learned by watching Martha Pullen's show this week in making a 3D bowtie block. It was fun to do and I love the finished round. I hope you do too!

I love your addition - I have never tried the bowties - you did such a great job - it is perfectly adorable - she will just love it.

After much thought and a couple of designs, I came to the decision that round 3 needed to be a resting place in the design. I wanted to enhance the center and round 2 & 3. They are so detailed and neat I went with a plain round. My quilt guild helped me with this decision. I told my DH that I whimped out, however I really like the look. Hope Littlehud does also.

I agree - I think your choice of color makes the center "pop" and it looks great!
