Love all the pictures! I've got 3 done and got sidetracked with another project but back on it now. I'm gonna have a hard time mailing these as I love them all. I decided when I make number 4 to make one for me also.

So during lunch got all the extra special stuff done for the last mug rug, now to sew it together and quilt it. Oh I hope it comes out like I imagine. Not perfect with this crafty stuff, just bring on the quilts.

I must be the only person on the planet who didn't realize today was tax day :(
The boy and I left early today to get big sister from school, thinking a quick stop at the post office would fit right in. Well...I live closest to the main post office of a city nearing a population of one million people who didn't want to send their tax forms until the very last minute.
Once I finally got into the parking lot, the boy wouldn't hear of just cruising thru. We fought the moving cars, got inside, and waited about 20 minutes for the automated machine to get postage. The line for a clerk went out the other door.
We were late picking up big sister, but, at least it wasn't raining--only cloudy and cool.
The good news is: abdconsultant has a package on the way. 2 business days!
I hope no one else had the memory lapse I had...

I had to drop out of the mug rug swap early on, due to my mother passing, but you girls have all done a wonderful job on your mug rugs. I can't wait to see the rest of them. Just wanted to stop by, and tell you all how creative you each are, and sounds like you are having a lot of fun.

I am laid up with a bad foot...Dr said, no sewing, or gardening, or walking....sigh....come this weekend, I will have a TON to get caught up on!

Well jaciqltznok, do your hands work? Time for some binding or what I am trying to do, ugh, english paper piecing. That does not require that foot at all and will keep you entertained to no end. Do those yo yos. It is only some ideas for ya. You can always cut up fabric for the next project. Oh, just cut up some more stuff for mug rugs. I will keep you entertained for sure. It drove me crazy when I had to keep foot up after surgery last summer. As you can tell, I had some hand work to do and I just can't stand that stuff.

never fear,, I have tons to do! sorting through patterns, crocheting some dish cloths, yep, hands are always busy!

Hey Marymo, just tacked on the labels. Could you please finish up that hand work for me. This left hand will not function quite like it should. I am hanging on till next week so then I will be able to hang onto things better. Good thing the right works for the coffee mug, work may not like me otherwise. You should see me drive the stick shift with one hand, it is quite the site. At least the doc says I can move my fingers within the day of surgery. Was concerned may not be able to sew for a few weeks.

Oh Marymo, they are going in mail today. You are so going to love at least one of them really a lot. It turned out so cool. No, my quilting on the cirles was not "perfect" but it still looks good. One of them has an antique doily on it and yes, years ago I crocheted the extras that are on it as well. Dug out of the stash of extras I have around to use up some craft stuff. I am excited about them. I made five and kept the coffee cut one for a little gift to the gal at the driving school. She saw me working on them and I could see her drool. So have to give her one.

Hi, QuilterMomma ... I like doing handwork so will be glad to finish them up. I am much slower than most of you ... for a variety of reasons, but most of all, because I keep making changes as a project proceeds. I do hope your surgery goes well, it is difficult working with one hand ... and shifting gears in a car cannot be good. I can remember doing that several years ago when several bones in my wrist were broken.

Take a break ... have a successful surgery and healing time.

I agree ... these have been fun to make once I got started and let my creative thoughts flow. I'm looking forward to seeing them all!

On another note, a couple of the ones I made are double sided and I used my creativity to sign them, thus I did not use labels. So I'm wondering if everybody else put labels on their mug rugs.

I got a sweet lady bug rug from abdconsultant today! Didn't get it open until there was too little light for pictures. Maybe tomorrow...

I too rec'd my mug rugs from abdconsultant today...sadly I have been laid up with this foot, so hoping to get the binding on them this coming week!

I received mug rugs from QuilterMomma today. They are absolutely beautiful and perfect for me. I will post pictures tomorrow after camera gets charged. We were well-matched for sure. I loved this swap!

Sorry I couldn't get yours in the mail today, need to do the final finishes on it and ddn't get home from work until 7 this morning, so sleep and chores got donem your mug rug didnt, lol. Tomorrow for sure though and in the mail on Monday.

Received my mug rugs from Leslie Frost on Friday but waited until today to open her package. I waited because I had 1 more to finish for her plus it was graduation weekend for us.

I loved all the mug rugs but have to say my favorite is the one with the coffee cups. She also sent a few fat quarters and the cutest post-it note paper.
