OK ladies, I need help ...

I've never quilted something that wasn't square ... I need to figure out how to get this part to be nice, and not bunched up ... any tips?

Also, I used GLUE for the border - loved it, what a concept LOL

AND I did something that shocked even myself ... I had a friend come over who's a carpenter and he cut a hole in my sewing cabinet and put a shelf in and made my machine flush with the table.

All I have to say is WOW ... what a difference when sewing ... I can't believe I went almost 8 years getting frustrated all the time with drag and it getting caught.

I'm guessing FMQ will be much easier too ...

Anyhoo I digress, here's the pic ... and thanks in advance for the tips!

Here is a very nice tutorial on binding angled corners. a good thing to watch. she also has tutes for inside corners. Watch the one for angled corners and inside corners. Forget the one with the special tool. You don't really need it!:D

Hey Kassaundra very close. The shafts of light through the ocean water are very beautiful.

Thanks ube. I'll check it out tomorrow

That technique for inside corners is just pure magic. A traditional method, but something about doing it is so satisfying.
Enjoy playing with it.

OK, I'm all done ... didn't get it absolutely perfect, And the way I did my borders wouldn't work with the video (BUT, it's an awesome video!)

I took a 2.5 inch strip and folded it in half, pressed, opened it and folded each part in half towards the middle (know what I mean?)

So here's some pics ...and Echo was very pleased to pose as well!

And whoever gets mine will get an extra embroidered quilt block (part of the set) and the rest of my strips so they can do a matching wall hanging LOL

Ok. The more I look at the inside angles the more I don like them. Lol. So tonight I'm going to take it apart and do the border the way the video shows!!
