OH OH OH OH!!! (frantically raising my hand) ME ME ME!!! I'll swap internationally!!!!

starshine 05-22-2013 07:55 AM

I don't usually have a plan when I sign up but the day after I got those bbq I got an invitation to a retiring co-worker's 4th July cookout. And when I opened the package after work, I thought these would make a great table runner that I could take to the cook out for a hostess gift. Now if I get started pretty soon maybe I'll "git r dun".

I really enjoy seeing all the variety we find on this swap.

PLEASE review the rules of the swap and follow them!

This was also me, I am so sorry I forgot. I will be forever vigalant next time. I am also sorry to Auntpiggylpn, as this was who I was supposed to thank personally.

BDawn 05-22-2013 10:36 AM

Count me in for shipping international. When is the next swap?

How lucky for you Lstew2212 .... those Jalepino peppers are definitely summery. Have fun with those fabrics!

sistahdebbra 05-22-2013 02:19 PM

I guess I missed the request to swap internationally. I am always willing to swap with someone outside the states. Will let Brenda know for next sign-up.

sistahdebbra 05-22-2013 02:23 PM

Sometimes. When I got my batiks, I saw a summer tote bag.

Elisabrat 05-23-2013 03:46 AM

Thanks everyone I hope she comes back and gives us one more try ...

I received a lovely package of five wonderful fabrics from Quilter day by day. She sent me a bright lime green, a lime gree with polka dots, a lime green with purple flowers, a blue and white summer flower print and also a yellow with swirly lines and all the colors in the other fabric.s I left my camera on so my brand new batteries are toast. I will try to stop today and pick up some more so I can post a picture. They really are so very nice and they coordinate beautifuly. Thanks you so much!

sikesjj 05-23-2013 04:05 AM

Oh Brat those sound beautiful! I love when the FQs coordinate because I see a instant project!

luvstoquilt 05-23-2013 05:44 AM

I will ship internationally...I never thought to add that when I signed up! No one should be left out because this is just so much fun. I have a lot of FQ's and have no idea what they will become..just glad they don't have calories!

starshine 05-23-2013 09:57 AM

I'd swap Internationally too. I'll look for the possibility on the next sign up.

ljdugas31 05-23-2013 12:04 PM

Elisabrat 05-23-2013 01:49 PM

Well the ladies have spoken! tada! we are not trolls after all! tada! we can live our lives free of that awful bridge!! ok what was I thinking.. oh yes fat quarters and calories.. they would have to roll me down the hill and it would take a crane that lifts whales up to get me moving! phew they are calorie free! I have just a 'few' to my name lol. but I love that one and this one and one day that would be so great in a..

wonder when we can sign up for June's swap? hopefully before I have to move ..did we decide as in the Brenda 'we' what we are going to swap next month? wiggling eyebrows at you again... pretty please???

If you google it you will see lots of samples, tend to have small prints and clear colors.

MaryMo 05-24-2013 10:14 AM

thanks lauriejo! I was wondering the same thing .... and which of stash fabrics might fit this swap.

jaba 05-24-2013 11:02 AM

Perfect, thanks lauriejo, and I never even knew I had some of those!

kiffie2413 05-24-2013 03:28 PM

I love, love, love repro's!!! I also have a lot of red, white, and blue fabrics...so I am trying to make sure I don't miss out next month!!! I already have shipped international, so you know I am fine with that...I have received a fq from a lady in Scotland...which was great...I would love to get fabrics from other countries!
K

Elisabrat 05-25-2013 05:31 AM

You guys are so great with the shipping thing I think it just slipped most of our minds. Now its top story!

Dresden plates?UGH never made one not top of my list to attempt I have this failure issue I hate it.. lol.. and turning those ends .. I would want to do a real one not a fused one.. unless it was a wall hanging. not sure how much I enjoy fused on a quilt to be hugged.. too stiff? probably that is my issue.

I own zippo 30's fabrics. Sometimes I love them and consider it then other times .. not so much. Give me a vintage table cloth anyday over 30's. Perhaps if someone else is not so much into the 30's theme and would want to do a swap of a different sort then we could be paired up? just a thought.. but for now patriotic makes me happy just fine .. waiting waiting waiting for the sign ups!

createfourpaws 05-25-2013 06:08 AM

Well I am not into the retro fabrics so I guess I will miss June. I haven't seen the sign up yet for June.

I am green with envy....GREEN!!! LOL...:hunf: (sorry for emotion of emoticon, its the only green face I could find...my feeble attempt at humor...). I can't blame you for not swapping...now GIVING them to a sweet gal in Texas, thats a whole 'nother story...heck I would even say selling them to said Tx gal...;) I have a few pieces of vintage fabrics from my great-grandma and nanny... I have used some of them, all are smaller than a fq...I did actually send some repro's to a girl, and tucked in a couple of my vintage ones...told her she was realllly lucky!!..lol..
Regards,
Kan
aka gg (green girl)..:p
