I just want to let you know that my mom gave up her battle this
morning.

I STILL want to make my partners pincushion if they are willing to
accept it late.

Louise, I know exactly what you are feeling as I lost my mom one year ago to the day that you lost yours. Just as a good thought though now, when a good little thing happens in my day, I like to feel that mom had a hand in it and I smile and send a little thank you to her. :-) Hope you get some of those good little gifts to help you make it through the coming years. Needle cases just about done!! Came out a lot bigger than I think maybe it should be, but is a great size to keep your hand work supplies in in your purse...Never have seen an actual needle case before..Tomorrow the pincushions finished...already cut out

Today is the memorial service for mom, it is going to be a rough
day for sure, but we are going to (try) focus on the good things
in her life and (try) not to mourn as much on our losing her.

A couple memories and thoughts I have are from when I was a
little girl (about age 6 or so) is my grandfather on dads side use
to LOVE my moms fried chicken. So to help comfort my dad in
loss of mom I told him to just keep in mind she is probably up
in heaven cooking fried chicken for grandpa as he scolds her for
not wearing shoes.

Finished the pincushions today!! One little detail to do for the needlecases,and pick up a little goodie or two...Hoping to get out over the weekend.

Lonnie is so fast! I received my pincushions and some adorable goodies to go with it. Oh thank you girl. And, back is doing good. Actually off all meds except one.

I'm so glad you liked it. tried to keep in your colors, I love that small scissor for snipping threads and the tweezer for pulling said threads.

Jaba made me this awesome pincushion. I love it! It's like Christmas when I get a package in the mail. She made me a matching needlecase too. Thank you so much Jaba! She asked me to post pics since she is still on vacation (lucky :)). If you can't see from the picture - the PC is a box with the cushion on the lid. I opened it for the picture to show it off.

Old_Rosebud so glad you like it, I had fun making it for you. Thought the box idea might be handy to keep scissors and thread in for a little storage, seems I always have the "stuff "on the end table by my chair. Thanks for posting pic of it for me

Please check your inbox. There are two swappers that have not acknowledged the pm of your swap partners. Since the 10th was yesterday, and I did not receive any messages of swappers not able to swap, I am going to assume that I do not need any angels and you ARE going to complete this swap. YAY!!!! I have not received yet but sure they are on their way. Mine were sent while we were on vacation and I have heard from one that received and she posted, ( rose box and needle case) the other has received but have not heard from her.

I am working on mine, it's a needlecase pincushion combo. I just hope I get it to work because it looks so darn cute in my head :)

I will be sending two pincushions today (if I get a lunch break that is). The proverbial 'stuff' hit the fan at work this morning so I may have to postpone the PO trip until tomorrow. Grr.

I have been struggling with an idea of a new pincushion, but it's not coming together well. May have to move on to another idea. If I don't get called in to work this week I should have plenty of time.

I am done with my pincushions and needle cases. Plans were to get them out today, which didn't happen as I am in the hospital with respiratory failure...they say if things go as expected, I should be out sometime Wednesday..so-I should be able to get them shipped by Friday. If not my daughter can get them out on Saturday...I better not be here that long!!

I have not checked mail box, this weekend, will check today, maybe will receive pin cushion and needle case. Just mailed mine out, so you should receive soon. One went international.... so it could take a few days longer.

Last night was my late night to work to 8. I did take pictues of thw BEAUTIFUL needlecase lynnie made for me. I wil post tonight after dinner.

Mailed my pincushion off to my partner. Ooops, I did not take a picture of the little cutie. Just tried out some new techniques on it. Not exactly as my mind saw it, but pretty close. Hope she enjoys it in the warm place it is going, oh, that could even be here in Washington. LOL

I Received a lovely pin cushion and needle case made by jaba... fit for a princess , a or maybe a mermaid, a lovely big seashell with white/ lace pincushion in it , and it has a pearl in it. The needle case is white lace with seaquins. .Just perfect to to take to the beach house. You are very thoughtful . This is very special for me. Thank you sew much.

I am trying to get my partners pincushion made and in the mail on time.

We are still struggling with the loss of mom, and all the stuff related to PAYING
for the cremation to which they have not done yet because we have not gotten
all the required money to them yet.

I PROMISE to work as hard as I can to get the pincushion out on time.

I am so excited - my partner's pincushion left in today's mail. I am usually a right-on-the-deadline kind of girl, but this time I am EARLY! Woo-hoo. This is a fun swap. I love both pincushions & needle cases - very fun to collect them.

I am with you on that one TiltedEars, mailed eary so will be there on the mailing deadline. Oh what fun. I hope my partner will be up to opening her mail or someone will get it to her. Hmmmm, maybe should of had an updated address. LOL

I usually mail early this is kind of late for me. Will mail today I hope my partners like them.
