Jaba- your block is beautiful! Love the colors too! And shabby chic? Love that too! :)

Wow well the one who posted that their ssr state has little snow, makes it def not me! There have been a few that seem to fit, but then I forget who posted what! I am so happy I don't have a box yet to torture and tempt me till the opening date :) my hubby cut off my fabric budget since we are saving for a house, so fabric is the biggest on my list :) hint for my ssr, I have never visited your state before.

CookyIN - The Quilty Fun Sew Along is different than the mystery quilt along. I'm not sure what it is exactly yet. They posted it on Facebook and it's on their blog but there isn't a whole lot of detail yet. It starts next week though.

Yes, I think my stepdaughter will get into sewing. She has a collection of my scraps and wants to make a small blanket or quilt with my little Singer. Right now the focus is on reading Harry Potter (we don't watch the movie until she finishes the corresponding book - she's on #6 now) and now knitting. She has the crafty bug so it's only a matter of time before sewing becomes part of the repertoire.

My, what a chatty group!
Still not feeling like catching up to all of you...trying to get some sewing done in between coughing.

Will ship my package by Monday....will make my giftee look at it for awhile!

Tink is not happy with these cold temps...she wants to cuddle while I sew. Have you ever tried to sew while holding a dog? I left her winter coat on her after her stroll in the yard....maybe she won't be as needy today.

Well, I've still no idea, who has my name. Just when I think a certain person may have me, she throws in another clue which cancels it all!

Clue for my SSee - Today's high is lower than 70 degrees.

Absolutely love it Java.

Well this could be me. If it's home made I know I'll love it. I said I like dark chocolate, but love carmel too, although I've lost a couple of filling because of it.
My SS partner loves earth tones.
Got to go.. another consultation about my Dad. We've finished packing up his apartment yesterday. maybe things will settle down now. Happy Quilting everyone.

Good morning all! Jaba, if that's shabby chic, then I guess I like it too, 'cuz I sure do like that block! I did get a little something done for my Santaee yesterday & the box is filling up to be rather full. Gonna have to stop making things at some point or I won't get the box closed! There's a couple of things I want to do yet, but will get them done before the weekend is over so I can ship next week. I still have to wrap everything too!

Today's clue: You're retired.

Oh, oh!!! I love earth-tones  . . . along with about a million other people. :D

I hope things go well, with the consultation.

HELP?? Need to know specifics about the 4 fat quarters

a fat quarter is roughly 18 inches x 22 inches of fabric
If your SS person said they like a specific color or colors or themes such as dogs, children, floral you can get 4 fat quarters that fit those specifics... otherwise it's your choice...
Hope this helps

Off to work I go, have a great day everyone.

That is the same with me. I have to use a large flat rate because that is the only size that my main present will fit in. Should be in the mail early next week.
Hint for the day, you like to hand piece.
