I watched the tutorial for the Twister Tool. It is sooo awesome!!!! I will need to add that to my list of wants. NO!! Have to have list! I have been out of town for 2 weeks and this thread was on #24 the last time I got to read this. So I have been the last 2.5 hours catching up. WOW!! I really don't want to end up in the hole as I just had another part replaced in my replaced knee in March & I won't be able to climb out. And arthritis is giving me fits cuz of the change of weather. When I left, the nites were in the 50's. Now they are in the 30's. My poor old bones weren't ready for this so fast. Time for bed. Going to check out patterns tomorrow for something special for my ss. I also inherited fabric from my mom and she has some awesome fall and Christmas fabric. Can't wait to use some of it.:D

Praises sing to Christ the King
And peace to men on earth
On Christmas Eve I dreamed I traveled all around the earth
And in my dream I saw and heard the ways the different people
Hail the king whose star shone in the east and what a dream it was
In London Town I walked around Piccadilly Circus
A mass of people movin' here and there, I wondered where
On every face at every place was, "Hurry up, I'm late"
But a kind old man at a chestnut stand said, "Merry Christmas mate"
And I felt the Christmas spirit
In a little town nestled down in Bavaria Germany
I walked along to see what the feeling there would be
And here again was the busy din, the rushin', the yellin'
But some kind boy said, "Frohliche Weihnachten"
Not understanding the words but gettin' the buyin' and sellin'
I felt the Christmas spirit
In Bethlehem I heard a hymn, some distant choir sang
And with other tourists I walked along to a Church as its bells rang
Then I heard someone tell someone, "There's where Christ was born"
I wonder if He looked like our baby looked on that first morn
And then I really felt the Christmas spirit
From a businessman in the Holy Land at a sidewalk souvenirshop
I bought a little Bible since I'd already stopped
And it was in Paris France somehow by chance that I took the Bible out
As I flipped the pages I saw these words
And I knew what it was all about
For I read, "Fear not for behold I bring you good tidings of great joy
Which shall be to all people
For unto you He was born this day in the City of David, a Saviour
Which is Christ the Lord"
Then I took the little Holy Book, held it close and tight
I closed my eyes and visualized the glory of that night
So suddenly it came to me for when I awoke on Christmas Day
I felt the Christmas spirit down deep inside to stay
O little town of Bethlehem how still we see Thee lie
Above Thy deep and dreamless sleep the silent stars go by
Yet in Thy dark streets shineth the everlasting light
The hopes and fears of all the years are met in Thee tonight

And that would be a bad thing?

Now that it's morning, I may even throw caution to the winds and splash some in my coffee ala Elisabrat. But I promise to keep the proportions proper. Now... if along about 5 o'clock... the portions get reversed and I wind up with hot rum with a splash of coffee... then by all means, let the games begin!

(You'll know the party has started when you notice that my sparkling-light-up-tiara sits askew upon my head. It will be our secret signal among the cadre of Secret Santas. ;))

Twister...not one of my favorite quilts, thus no tool in my collection....now if we are talking about all the gadgets for PPing, that's another story !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just ask, if you have a problem with anything, please, please, please send me a pm. We can get it squared away in that, no need to put any sort of dirty laundry on the thread. This is a fun swap, i've always played fair.
I run excel for the names and i never know how the names are going to be sorted. I don't do the sorting, i let hubby figure that out. I just thought that it would be nice that if you were swapping with a person on other swaps, you wouldn't want them again. I know i wouldn't. Always nice to have someone new and not the same person on 3 swaps at the same time.

amen !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good morning all you SS folks. I have been sitting here catching up and just reading of all the goings on. I think I will just stay in the hold with Dreamer and help her sing Christmas Carols.

As far as preferences for me, I made my own Twister tools, so don't need them, had a flying geese template given to me by someone who said she would never make another one with it. Not sure I will ever use it either. Most of those gadgets are just that, gadgets, and end up collecting dust. I can never have enough fabric, and love it all. I am not too crazy about orientals, but other than that I would be happy with anything. Not much help for my SS partner, but I am just not picky.

I have one twister and 2 half hex rulers and just love them. I do hope you get your's.

One of the things I have been looking to get is a medium-large hex ruler.
But I am almost pretty sure that I won't be getting one of those because
I have seen how much they cost (almost $30 for the large hex ruler I seen
recently).

That is something I will just wait until my birthday next year when I give
my "list" of wants to my hubs. What he USUALLY ends up doing is getting
me something he heard me talking about than adds some cash to it.
