louise i am in online classes also. they take more work than regular classes because you have to be on the computer every night to correspond with the class and the instructor. its equivilent to 40 hrs a week. good luck. you should be able to fit a swap or so in. good luck in your search and with your classes.

What does that mean for me? well it means that come January 17 I will
be back in school and will have very little time for sewing, what with having
homework to do. Thankfully though my 2 classes are going to be online
so that will make trying to find a part time job easier for me.

I just HOPE that I will be able to continue doing swaps, we shall see though.

I know those of you who have received your Nov packages are ready to start the Dec swap, but we still have people out there who have not gotten theirs. 30 swappers are without a package and today is the 22nd of Nov.

Hi Mary,

Yeah I took my first online class last spring (HR Management 1). I was HOPING
that I could take the Organizational Behavior & HR Man. 2 class this Spring but
the HR class is not being offered this time.

Which means that I will have to wait until possibly the Fall 2012 semester to take
that class and get my HR Man. certificate.

This spring semester I am signed up for Introduction to Business & Organizational
Behavior.

Still have MANY classes yet to take before I can get my A.A.S. in Business Administration.
At the rate I am going I think that 52+ years old MIGHT be when I get my degree. Should
have gone back to school EARLIER in life LOL.

anytime you go back is great. you will finish if you hang in there. i got laid off 2yrs ago so i went back to school to add a certificate to my degree to see if it would help. i am now looking at relocating to another state to find employment but i am glad i went back to school. i am getting ready to start a second program. i love learning.

the online classes will allow me to get my certificates from a top rated school though i may potiently no longer live here. when i am finished with all of my classes for both certificates, i will be well into my 50's. :D no problems with that though.

I wanted to graduate by 50...I had started at 17:). Life and chronic illness and taking care of my mother intervened. I did it by 54, which made me very happy because I did it, just for me! One of the things that helped me get thru it was taking CLEP tests. They are by the same folks that do the SAT tests, I think. They put out practice books and believe me, if you can do the practice tests you can pass the tests. I went to the local state Univ to take the tests, they cost under $100 for a full 3 or 4 credit course. I took about 7 of them. Talk to your adviser and see what your college will accept and check it out. Check the CLEP website out too. Hope you have good luck with your classes- Jo, Class of 2003

Lori, sorry to hear that the packages are so slow this month, I wonder how many people can't find us since the software change??? I find it usable but I know many other had real problems with it.

Havplenty 11-22-2011 03:12 PM

they were tasty but not extremely sweet. the recipe does not call for added sugar so you may just need to check the sugar content of the cheesecake filling and the can of pumpkin.

Wanda lou - are you type 2 diabetic?

Since you are newly diagnosed if you have not yet been to the Diabetes website
yet I highly recommend paying a visit to it.
http://www.diabetes.org/

When I became a diabetic in August 2005 it was one of the first things
I did, even though both my parents are diabetic it was still new to me.
I learned a lot from the website.

Good luck, and remember WATCH THE CARBS!! I did not find out about the carbs
until I started on the insulin pump last year.

Lori - I can send out another (or two) SP packages
if you need me too. Just let me know.
