I go by their info sheet, if that's vague, then u pretty much have to guess. In that case, I make it quilting stuff: cotton thread, cotton fabric, also their candy of choice if they have one, etc. Do your best to follow their info sheet. Hope that helps.

I don't send anything used except patterns and magazines. I try to send the equivilent of 1-1/2 yards of fabric either on sale or from my stash in their colour choices, a couple of handmade items (mug rugs, pincushions, bags, etc.), pins, needles, thread, rotary blades, fabric snips, rulers, items from the dollar store, candy. I do occasionally pass along items I've received in swaps but won't use (not handmade items). But I don't consider them used -- just passing through.
