NZ Quilter and Terriamn, lovely ornaments. I have not ever done very much cross stitch and I have not yet tried the Origami ornaments.

NZQuilter, is that cross stitch ornament from a kit or a design you did yourself? reason I ask is that I am trying to find a source for those type frames. I have checked Hobby Lobby and Joanne;s and they dont have them. been surfing and not having much luck

Roseirish, I was lucky and found a bunch of these frames at the local thrift store, still in their original wrapping.

Roseirish, maybe these will help? I have never ordered from here, but they might have some cross stitch frames for your projects.

Isn't that something; you used to see these all the time at the craft stores.

I still have a few of them around myself. I must have done dozens of these though the years. They are so fun. The reason they call it peti-point was because they were petite cross stitch

The other way you could frame it is to use the little metal picture frames that are for ornaments. I have bought many of them from Hallmark for my missing family members as remembrances for the tree.

Or perhaps make padded fabric frames like we did years ago. They used to sell craft kits like that. The major sewing companies had patterns you could buy. They sometimes were coupled with photo books and desk sets as a pattern not just the frames. They had heavy cardboard as the base of the ornament.

Oh girls! I found lots of sources! Here is what came up with a google search...

I am thinking maybe some of the paper pieced ones would work in these too.

Here is the style of ornament that I'm making to sell at a crafts fair this year. I won't post the unique ornament that I made for my partner since I want it to be a surprise!
