Love the owl blocks.
The snow looks like a lot of fun and cold. Love the snowman. My grandson made about a seven inch snowman out of snow and sense our snow stays for one day and gone the next he brought his snowman in and ask if he could save it in the freezer. LOL it's still in there. I'll get my daughter to take a picture for me to post. So I am saving his snowman in my freezer. It makes him happy therefore I am happy.

Okay ladies I love quilting but the last two day I was ready to throw in the towel. I was trying to make pin wheels but for the life of me couldn't get the points to match up. I will get my daughters phone tonight to take pictures to show you all. Okay so then I put it down and walked away. Came back and made another one and the points are better but still not totally matching. All the fabric I am using for this is all I have for it so can't afford to mess it up. I came up with a different idea for a different block sense I already cut them all into triangles. Points match pretty good but now the block is too small and I have to add a border. I don't I have anything to match. It's totally crazy let me tell you. So then decided on the other blocks to do a ten minute block and five minute block. I really like them but found them to be a little more difficult than I thought. Is quilting for me? I am trying to get out of just the block style but I don't know. I see so many beautiful quilts and I just want to make one but I guess I'm not ready. It's just when you see someone post this is my first quilt and wow they did awesome point on points. And I can barely master what I do. Okay enough of my whining. Needed to get it off my chest. I have almost 5 sets done so I will take pictures, and post for you all see. Thanks for listening.

So sorry you've had a bad quilt day. I'm still working on my points! What's worked the best for me is taking more time measuring each square for the blocks before I sew them. Also, make sure you use a narrow 1/4 inch seam. This allows a little extra room for when you turn the fabric. So for pin wheels blocks you use HS triangles. If your HS is the accurate size (even though you sew them together, oft-times 2 HS blocks will have a little extra room on both sides.) measure after you sew the 2 HS's together. Trim any excess. When you do the bottom 2 HS's line up your point before you sew with your fingers. It helps to grab a needle & sew it in place a couple stitches. Pins can still allow your fabric to move. If your point is in place then sew. Works most of the time for me. Other than that,
you can try Paper-piecing which allows you to get those perfect points. Either way, it takes a little bit of patience. Hope this makes sense. Good luck!
