Okay, here is set #2 for me. I chose to make scrappy 3 1/2" Pineapple blocks. There are 29 different fabrics in each block (okay, perhaps I am a little obbsesive compulsive). My remaining sets will be much calmer for sure. LOL! For some reason, the colors show a bit duller than they really are. Hmmm.

Carol Doak has the Foundation Factory. They are CD-ROMS with PPing patterns..mainly cute things to do in MINI!

Difergie 01-29-2012 04:04 PM

You can also get them downloaded to your computer. Well worth it! And they have specials periodically.

Thank you Jacquie and Difergi for the information! I have EQ7 that I can take many blocks and turn them into paper pieced blocks and make them any size I want. I'm assuming that Foundation Factory has similarities? I design occasionally, but also love just make the simple traditional blocks as well.

Soo...I wonder who will be next to post some eye candy for us to look at? :)

almond 01-29-2012 05:08 PM

Rwquilts! thanks for sharing your blocks. They are great and so much color. Way to go!!!!

Here are the Coffee & Tea Cups 4 inch (4 1/2) blocks I've completed so far for this swap. I think I will do 3-4 sets of 6.

They're beautiful Ronda. I will also admit to just a tiny bit of OCD in my quilting. It's not a bad thing though, right?

Hi all! I just wanted to clarify something for everyone. You may make up to 6 sets of blocks to swap, but you may only have 2 sets (12 blocks) of any one design. You can see my original post for any clarification. Patrice kindly keeps it updated for me! :)

Houston, we have a problem! I can't seem to decide on the other blocks I want to make. I have a bazillion going on in my head...calm down Ronda and focus! :) :)

Mariposa 01-31-2012 07:23 AM

Rw- I know you will get it figured out soon! ;)

Difergie 01-31-2012 12:22 PM

Started my blocks today. Will be making 4 sets for sure, maybe six. Will post pixs as I get further along. Have never made miniatures before so this is fun...love seeing the pictures

This is my first set....spools of thread. I figure we all have those in our houses! (3" finished)

rwquilts 01-31-2012 03:09 PM

Great blocks Difergi!

Mariposa 02-01-2012 08:36 AM

Difergie- cute spools! :)

marcialee 02-04-2012 02:40 AM

difergie, that was one of my blocks I picked out because I thought of the same thing, if we are here then we have some of them in the house. I love them. I will chose something different since I haven't started yet.

So what size is everyone doing??? 31/2"?

Difergie 02-04-2012 05:11 AM

I am going to do 3 1/2 and 4 1/2

PennyChattey 02-04-2012 05:14 AM

Hi everyone
I live in England - am I allowed to join the swap? If so, how much postage should I include? No problem if it causes too many problems to send blocks outside America, I will watch this thread anyway!
Thank you
Penny

Difergie 02-04-2012 05:21 AM

Mailing to England is not that expensive for us. I love getting blocks from outside the US.

rwquilts 02-04-2012 07:12 AM

Marcialee, I've been making 3 1/2" blocks, but I might throw in a few other sizes as well. I just find I love to sew the smaller blocks, but as it states in the first post, you can make anything from 3 1/2" up to and including the 6 1/2" sizes. It might depend upon what patterns you find?

Penny, we'd LOVE to have you join with us! Difergi is right! I don't think it will be too bad. As to how much, whatever it costs you to mail your blocks to me, you can estimate it will be about that amount to mail the blocks back to you? We can work out the details in PM's when you're close to mailing. Come on, you know you want to join us! LOL!
