Will do. I have received the backing fabric from Vanogay, pmd her so she was not worried. Other than that, no change and I appreciate everyone helping and making this special.
AnnaQuilts, PM me your PayPal email (apologies if you already have) and I'll send you some more postage $$. Or should I send you money hidden in kleenex via postal mail?
What IS the shipping to the UK going to be?
I am estimating between 47.95 for priority first class medium, but possibly large which is $60.95. I have received funds enough to cover the cost of postage and batting so I am good and with the backing fabric possibly being able to use the last bit to do binding. All covered on my end. When Annaquilts mailed me my quilt, her DH packed that lap quilting into a medium box. If I work the fabric enough and roll just as good as he did, I may get it into the medium box. We will see.
If you can get the quilt to the shape of the box, put it in a plastic garbage bag and then suck the air out of it, with a vac attachment, to shrink it. I did this when we mailed 150 rag dolls to my son in Baghad for the children at the medical unit he worked at.
(USPS also charges by size, since we couldn't use priority boxes, we tried to keep the sizes down.) You guys are doing a great job! |
Annaquilts DH rulled it up like a sleeping bag. It had not room to wiggle at all and then he wrapped it up in saran wrap. It was so snug. I will try either way to squeeze it in that smaller box and be sure to add insurance so if gets lost again, bite my tongue, we can at least get the money to make another one if, God Forbid, it happens again. We know it isn't this time because we are all joining in the fun.
