Sounds like fun.

Tam...Moo 10-23-2011 05:05 PM

I so badly want to be part of this swap but the last swap I signed up for over a year ago ended with me never receiving my quilt top back. I have not signed up for any swaps since then so I hope that all who sign up really stick with their commitments when they sign up for this amazing swap.

Tam Moo, I'm very sorry that happened to you. If you sign up for this swap, and your partner let's you down by not sending you a quilt I PROMISE you I will send you one. It may not be by the dead line (you won't know til then) but it won't be too long afterwards. Girl scout honor.

For $.70 you can have a tracking number attached to your package, that allows the receiver and sender to keep track of the package. I use it all the time. Get it at the post office. Cheap peace of mind.

jillaine 10-24-2011 06:40 PM

By now, each of those who have signed up so far should have received a PM from me with the name of their swap partner. If you've signed up and haven't received such a PM from me, contact me.

Although I've paired people up, new participants are still welcome to sign up until December 15, 2011.

AND folks: I really want this to be a lot of fun.

If you feel I've made an incompatible match, please let me know and I'll find you someone else.

And if you have any concerns, questions or suggestions, please don't hesitate to contact me.

And because there's been a question about it, the dates of the swap have NOT changed:

The swap remains open to new participants until 15 Dec 2011; fully completed quilts must be sent to your partner by 15 July 2012.

We have so far, 28 participants.

Jennifer22206 10-25-2011 05:38 AM

Thank you so much for your hard work!

IrelandDragonQuilting 10-25-2011 06:21 AM

Will we get the information that was sent to you on what they are wishing for? Or do we just chat with eachother and go from there?

jillaine 10-25-2011 07:27 AM

Wendy, I sent you more details via PM.

I tried, in my PMs to each of you about who your partner was, to give you a sense of what they wanted to both receive and make. I did not always do a great job. If you want more details about your partner, let me know, but I do also encourage all participants to be in touch with their partners, too.

Wow, amazing with swappers scattered all over, that my swap partner lives "just down the street" from me. We are close enough to be able to meet to exchange gifts. Thank you again for doing this for us Jillaine!

Yes beginners are welcome. You have 6-7 months to finish a 60x60 quilt. You can do it! (BTW-Welcome to the group!)
