Hi everyone....I am not MIA this round....just got back tonight from 2 weeks in Dallas. Dad was in hospital s/t chemo treatments. Top is finished, but not mailed. Will get pic posted tomorrow and in the mail. LEGSTRONG, Iove what you did with mine. It is cominng together beautifully. So are the others.

I am so sorry to hear about your Dad - I know how hard it can be as I experienced the same thing with mine 15 years ago.

Thanks dragonfly. ... we have been doing this for three years with him. He has a rare type of cancer. ... only 3 men in the states of Texas has been diagnosed with it. He participates in an experimental chemo program in Dallas. There is no other option for him. When we gets a "fever of unkown origin" they admit him because he had no natural defense against infection. A mild infection can kill him so they are very cautious.

Here is the picture of my completed round. I think if I ever try to use this pattern agai. I will convert it to a paper piece pattern....pretend it is perfect!

Sorry I din't post earlier - I had jury duty in the early part of the week and it ran late.
Here is Melinda's center with Sazu's round. I love the deep purple accents in the lighter variegated purple batik - so rich looking.

My first impression is that my round needs to be in the lighter colors with pops of dark. What do you think Melinda?

Dragonfly yes I agree lighter would be good. I completely trust all of you ladies talent/taste. I feel very lucky to be sewing with this group.

Oh and just so you know if you want to use the solid grey it is Kona Ash.

Oh and big borders are fine with me as this will be going on a king size bed

Kona Ash - thanks. I was going to ask you which one you uses as solids are hard to "match" unless you know specifics.

Lestrong....glad you like it. Dresden is my favorite to do with fall colors....heck...with just about any fabric!!!!

The weather here is miserable, it's been rainy and windy for weeks (thankfully missing the worst so not affected by the flooding and powercuts many people are suffering). Perfect day for hiding out in my sewing room though ;)

Well, Dragonfly...I had 70 degree temp today, sunny & breezy.....hmmmm!!! Sazu...have fun and do fabulous work!!!!
