Yes, I have to get my fabric washed and mailed out...think I'll mail just a few a week though.

OMG...seriously that's my grandmothers name is (or what everyone called her) her name is Frances...she'll be '99 this year. I'm glad she's running strong, just like her namesake...she still lives alone, cooks, gets her hair done, all that jazz.

Well...here's the thing and I know, grow up but...I was suppose to get my Granny's. I'm the only girl, I learned to sew on it, etc. So when we were closing down the family home in 2005, she was moving into an apartment as it was safer...I was going to bring it home with me. But alas someone else had already taken it and no one will fess up to who. Sometimes families SUCK! So, I'm kind of bitter and if I can't have the FW I grew up sewing and all my dolls close, personal clothes, halloween costumes, etc were done on...I don't want to have to look at one in that time frame in my home...I know, silly but it would cause me heartache. Hopefully, I'll get past that one day & have one that just reminds me of her, but I'm not sure.

BUT...I came up with an idea the other day and my poor bf is stuck trying to come up with it for my 40th b'day which is in may because it's all I've asked for. All 4 of my grandparents were born in 1912...so I want a Singer from that year and it'll be a happy memory of all of them for me!

Send the snow to me!!! Actually, it's suppose to get pretty darn cold here next week (like not above freezing during day) and that doesn't happen very often.

I know I have a 1876...it needs loads of work. I will see though. They was given to me, sorta...cost a bundle to go all the way to Cinncinati, Oh to get them. But well worth it! Anyway, I don't need so many and I have loads, about 30 or so. I will do my best to get out there tomorrow and check.

We must be getting part of the same cold front.

Karen my husband wonders why I need 3 machines and a serger. :) Next time I will tell I know someone with 30+ machines.

Hi Frog! My husband was the same...why are we going all that way to pick up machines? LOL..is he crazy? Vintage machines, for the cost of the drive and time it took. I am learning to work on the vintage machines first. Then plan on going to school to learn the computerized ones! So the majority of what I have needs something done to them.

Where in Kansas do you live? Are you close to Joplin, MO?

Sweetness: these are the first days of January. I'm still recovering from the holidays. I guess my mind is not fully engaged in everyday's business yet. lol.

The only thing I have done is ordered my fabrics for this swap. I will start playing with my blocks next week.

Karen I am in Junction City, KS which is about 7 hours from Joplin but I have actually been there a few times because my husband has a friend that lives there and we will be through there again but not until June as we are headed to Springfield MO for a bowling tournament.
