awesome, what type of pen are you using to sign your siggie blocks and do you need to press after signing them to set them???
|
I use a Pigma Micron pen and I press them with my iron to set them.

Carol in Delaware I have been putting mine right side down on a dark cloth and pressing. Should I be using a pressing cloth on top and pressing on the right side? |
I am doing the happy Siggie dance....My blocks have been rec'd. One less package to worry about.LOL. My answers for the baove posts,
Right side down no pressing cloth required micro pens I put my blocks on my ironing Omnigrid board and they wrote beautifully, I tried everything else and my writing was bad to begin with so....I was accidentally signing one on the ironing side of the omnirgid and walahhh....perfection, no moving etc. Last but not least, get those blocks in the mail and take a deep breath...but don't pass out....then slow breathes till your package has been rec'd. LOL been there done that |
lol Debbie. Mine had to go clear across the country, I thought they were never going to get there, it took almost a week.

A hint for when you get ready to sew these together.
I used them in this quilt. http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-49147-1.htm At first I started sewing the siggy blocks together in rows. I discovered that if you sew 4 in a square and then square that to the 6 1/2 inches it is MUCH easier. I un-sewed the strips and put them back together as blocks. Hope this hint will eliminate some frustration for you! |
I took a look at your quilt - way cool!! I am sure your friend loves it.
Thanks for the tip on putting 6 1/2" squares together. Sounds like good advice. |
:hunf: I am at the point of squaring up and ... about half my blocks are off in size :hunf: :hunf: Went and got more white fabric today , and just when I thought I was ahead of the game  LOL
