I am making at least 100 blocks, more if needed. I want to make extras to be signed by quilty friends that are not swapping.

Thank You so much for the information! :-D

youme that would be really neat!

Donna,
Do the two corners have to be the same fabric or can they be different?

I made 56 last weekend, but just saw on the activity page that we're up to 53! Guess I'll have to pay close attention and add some more to the envelope!

When I sewed the squares together I added another seam 1/2" toward the corner. When I cut between the seams that meant I had a signature block and another 1/2 sq triangle block! Now I can use those for another project. Sometimes my mind is just amazing (at least to me!).

Looking forward to putting this all together!

This is such a neat project, I am telling the girls I sew with tomorrow night to encourage them to join...we make little quilts for, rescued then adopted, Westies, Scotties and Carins. I am attaching a pic of my siggie's in progress! I plan to sew 100, I am hoping 200 sign up!!! Thank you NorBanaquilts for hosting this project. :)

WOW! have you been busy!! I just got my white fabric today! I thought to make at least 100 blocks, then more as this swap grows!!

wilhelmina 02-24-2010 09:32 PM

Really, its not as much as it looks like...there are only about 35 completed blocks. The left over triangles made about 70 little half square triangles that I plan to use as the border. There is a stack of about 50 2-1/2" squares, I need to cut more 3-1/2" white squares. But it sounds like the hard part will be the signing! They come together fast. I only plan to make the first 100, then add as more sign up... :) :)
