I'm sick today so it's unlikely I'll get anything done. I'm trying to finish my doll quilt for Barbsbus and it's proving very difficult to find time.

I know how you feel, I getting a cold and my energy level is zero. I've been trying to work on a quilt for my son all day and I'm not breaking any speed records. Keep finding myself over here at the computer, it's easier to read and type than sew. :roll:

awesome idea ladies....may I copy also? ( with the notebook idea) With working outside the home and grandbabies and a Mom to take care of plus being a union steward at work and having to deal with everyone elses problems there... I'm impatiently waiting also....and I'm not even good enough to use the book...I have a big calendar in my sewing room with the dates marked in RED...I hate to be late!

Yes that was a great idea norbanaquilts :mrgreen: I actually printed out myself some calendars for oct.-dec. to put in my sewing room wih mailing deadlines and dates to look for partner assignments. I will be buying a calendar from the hobby store(usually a dollar) once I get my name and all the important dates so I can keep track :shock:

I can't wait either!!!!

Luv..this is the 1st time we've had this on the board...so I think we can send anything we would like. I plan on just sending small things along to let them know I'm thinking about them...nothing really big, could be just a card or something..just cute things I run across. I'm hoping that is kinda what others are gonna do as well.

This is what I want to do also!! It will be a lot of fun to share all those little "finds" all year -- even if it's nothing but a darn funny card.. :D :D

I did not read thru all 11 pages of responses so if someone has asked this before please forgive. I just want to clarify something. I understand it last 1 year. Is it that we sent 1 gift a month and then reveal in Dec. of next year? Does it have to be quilt related for every gift?

Myrna...I think that most of us are planning to send a little something along...maybe 1 a month, maybe more frequently...for me it will depend on when I run across cute things. Certainly for all the holidays. I don't think you are limited to quilt related...of course..we are all quilters, so its a given that we like things that are related to quilting. If I'm wrong about that...somebody, please correct me. :D

Yes This is a "hippy" exchange. That means whatever strikes your fancy. No rules other then to send as you would like to receive and have fun.

And you just don't tell your "partner" who you are til the end of a year :wink:
