Just wanted my SS to know that I'm out of state until after Thanksgiving, but i had all my mail and pkgs, to be held at post office. I haven't seen where my SS has received her pkg yet? DEC 6TH is fine with me.

6th is good for me. Still waiting for my package. It must be in the bottom of Santa's sack and he's been very busy by the reading of all these posts. :) I did leave a note on the front door today to have any packages put on the side porch. I've started ordering presents online this year rather than wait to shop. Working full time and taking care of my mom sure limits my time to get away or do any sewing right now.

On another note, just went to see if SS had received their package yet and this is what I found, Have never seen this before

"The package is delayed and will not be delivered by the expected delivery date. An updated delivery date will be provided when available. The delivery status for this item had not be updated as of November 17, 2012, 12:38am"

has anyone else ever gotten this message before? I don't remember hearing about any bad weather there so not really sure whats going on. I do know its been awhile since she has posted anything. I hope everything is ok

I got my package yesterday. I decided to check and see what the opening date is since I forgot to write that down. Glad I did because I noticed your request to let you know that I received my package. First Sunday in December between 3:00 and 6:00 EST. Is that right?

I just got that message on another item I sent - it wasn't with this swap, but everything I sent last Thursday was supposed to be delivered on Sat. the 14th but none were. Two arrived at their destinations on Monday and the third going to Wisc. I got this message.

I haven't been posting much this year on anything on the board because I started seeing someone earlier this year and just recently I started working part time. I needed the part time job because I spend so much on postage with all the other online groups I belong to. My SS partner doesn't post much, in fact, I think she only posted once for this swap, but that's okay, see posted her likes and dislikes and that helps alot. I have several things to get at JoAnns this week and hopefully I will get another gift made this week. I only have Tuesday and Wednesday off this week, then I have to work Thurs. and Fri. during the day so I won't make it to the PO. I do have Sat. off, but good luck getting me out of bed in time to get there before it closes. So, hopefully I will be mailing out on Monday the 23rd.

As for the "part time" job, I wanted no more than 20 hours. I'm working at a grocery store and apparently the young people they hire think nothing of calling off on the weekends. Last week I had 33.5 hours, but that's because I did pick up 2 days because a young girl that actually trained with me just never showed up after working 2 weeks. This week they scheduled me 28 hours. Only because of the upcoming holidays I'll work these hours but after Christmas I have to cut back to 20 hours. I can't believe how tired I am, but it's nice having money coming in every week and I don't have to stress out over the cost of shipping my packages.

i work part time too. The 18-22 year old set definitely has not learned a work ethic yet. I put my foot down on my hours worked (15) because I have a two year old, but last week I asked for a raise because it ticks me off that I make the same amount as these lazy fools. I thought I would be fed some corporate baloney, but I got a "yes!" and a high five! I'm so proud of myself for speaking up!

Yep, got that message on the tracking site for the two packages I mailed on a Wednesday, which were supposed to be delivered on a Friday and on a Saturday. One made it on Monday and the other on Tuesday. USPS didn't clarify with a reason.
