Ok, Since Terri said all the names are out first general question. Do you actually read print books? Or have you gone to e-book? Me I do both there is something about quietly turning a page and being able to flip back to go what was that?

I've been researching my Santaee, but having not much luck. They're list was pretty good, but left a lot of questions too. Oh well, the package I've been building all year isn't going to have much more than her wish list.
Pass the rum! I'm ready for some adult beverage! |

I wondered how many signed up too. This seems very popular. I'm sure glad I got signed up!! |
Oh nooooo.....not again. Neesie is using her nose again.
|
Books - real books -- our small town has a GREAT library !!!
|
I read both real and e books. I like Laura Child's mysteries. I think I'm one of the ones who didn't put enough info, so here's a little more. I like small prints and tone on tone fabrics, chocolate and homemade fabric items and chocolate.
|
Ready for a game?
Since everyone is wondering how many are playing this year, that's the question. How many are playing SS this year? It's a bit less than last year and a whole lot less than 2011 where we had over 250! So, send me your answers!! You have until Wed @ 5pm. Who ever is closest without going over wins!! |
YEAYYYYYY i got my SS name. It really feels good to know what she likes and made me wonder if i was right by not asking for anything as i appreciate everything....but little hints won't hurt but actually help ):
I DON"T KNOW WHAT TO DO AND WHAT TO ASK FOR>>>>>>Ok my SS be nice to me ;-) I am so excited as i already started buying nick nacks that are fun and cute besides the quilty stuff....muahahaha |
You can always drop hints here like others do to help out you SS when your think of something. I’m cleverly disguising a hint by saying you could somehow indicate you like foundation paper piecing and orchids without just coming out and saying it as an example.
|
So, everyone.....june likes paper piecing and orchids, but just doesn't want to say it out loud. lmao

I now have my SS name today. Thanks . I have not found her on this thread at all. Not many hints either.
I love books in print. |

I have a bookcase of paperbacks still waiting to be read (mostly true & fictional murder mysteries--I know, quirky taste! :)--but, that's me!!!) So, I do not buy anymore. Wish I had more time to read! |

Still stalking my "ss" to find out more about her...I've had a box going since the beginning of the year...& have been making lots of special things along the way...I hope she likes what I've been making...I try to do lots of personalizing stuff for a "special person" for this time of the year...it's so much fun making things I don't think they would have & could really use...so far, from stalking her & her list; I think I'm on the right track. I've found some sale things too. I've even gone to the stash. Will be still adding for a few weeks before mailing. Oh, what fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ooooh my box got a major deposit today ! Our local seamstress is retiring and moving to Florida, so she had a wonderful moving sale today FULL of sewing goodies !!! Goodies for me, and goodies for my Santee !!
|
Did I mention that I LOVE MILK CHOCOLATE CANDY?
:D :D :D :D |
Me too SulaBug, I like mine with nuts like in homemade fudge.
|
Ebooks for holidays and real books the rest of the time. Is there a special place bookmarks disappear to? Mine just seem to go missing and I am the only one in the house who reads.
|

By the way, just in case the SS's question was for me, I only read traditional books printed on paper. |
I guess 188. I have no idea why. lol
|
I guess 103.
Shopping Shopping Shopping all weekend long for my ss. I have so much stuff that I have to get a new box because the one I was going to use is overflowing. HeHe . I'm having so much fun. |
I read real books and have a Kindle Fire. (My husband is a techy person, so it was a very nice gift). I LOVE real books, love bookmarks!! I think I would give up my driver's license before I give up my library card ( although the library people have let me take books without it...)
For a minute I was in a bit of a panic about my santee..... she sounds like a lovely person but has been quilting for a good while and has been in this swap (& perhaps others) more than once. This is my first ever! I so want to send a great gift - and then I had an IDEA (cue mystery music).... I realize that I gave few clues. I will do so much better next year. For example I don't think I mentioned that I ride motorcycles....not sure how that applies to quilting..... Into the hole for me!! |
I've just been reading about my SS recipient (henceforth to be known as the giftee) and I think I must have gotten the sweetest one on the board. This is going to be fun finding treasures for her.
|
Oh and I guess 98...just a random # that came to mind...
|
Yeah, got my name! Not a lot of info but I still have lots of ideas.

My guess is 113.
|
I hope my secret santa partner likes her homemade goodies and all the fabrics I'm sending from my stash. Her fat quarters will be in the colors she likes and I know exactly what she is getting for her gift. I should be ready to mail her package before the of the month.

I have a suggestion......everybody that is on this exchange post what you like! For instance, I am learning to hand applique and how to quilt with my sewing machine. I am also interested in learning crewel embroidery. I also find it difficult to post my thoughts, but I decided that I am going to get over that. I am also going to learn how to post photos. I've probably sent to much info and will regret that I have said anything at all. Guess you'll find me in the hole sitting in a corner hoping no one see's me. I will bring some of that fudge though, also does anybody like peanut butter fudge? I love it and make it with a recipe that my mom used when I was small. |
I received my name! Yeah!! She provided a little info but I sure could use more. She's new to the board and not much info on her profile either. I have a real mystery on my hands. . . .

The only drawback is that my nose is also sensitive to offensive odors. :( |
