In honor of the day - Pearl Harbor Day - i'll tell you a little story.

My youngest brother (8 yrs younger than me) was born on December 10th 1961....20 years almost to the day after Pearl Harbor. From the time he could talk, he talked a lot about being a soldier and later about going in a submarine. One morning, when he was 6, we were sitting at the table having breakfast - and he looked at my Mom and said..."The sky was red at Pearl Harbor"....my mom looked at him kind of funny and sort of dismissively said "how would you know that?"....to which he replied - "i think i was there". He never mentioned it again.

Please understand - i'm not pushing anything, or endorsing anything here...(Terri mentioning her birthday today made me think about it).......I'm just telling you a strange but true story.

PS....Happy Happy Birthday Terri !!! Hope it's a great one.

Dad was walking to early mass one fine Sunday morning near Diamond Head Beach when the planes flew over that bombed Pearl Harbor. He retired in 1969 USAF MsgSgt. Flag is flying outside for him now. He went to be with Mom in 1991. Sure do miss him.
Now to begin opening this pkg. More after I finish oooohing & aaaaahing.

One more hour to wait. How will I make it? Good thing I can't reach it from here in the hole... BTW- I hope each and everyone of you is blessed in some way to help deal with pain from any source, hurts, situations, families, work, or whatever is getting in the way of you being healthy, happy, and full of cheer. I truly care about each and everyone of you for the blessings you bring to my life. No matter how bad I feel, there is always something from you all, that puts the smile back on my face anytime it slips a little. I hope Christmas brings everything you need, and at least one thing that you want. Merry Christmas to all everywhere.
