Gorgeous Terri! You can't go wrong with blue and white. It's just so classic! I have to put that color combo on my list! The prairie points were a beautiful touch.

Yoo hoo quiltwoman, sew_lulu, mardi, STAR, AbbyQuilts, dimplesinjuly, and beckyw...can you let us know you are in possession of lovely doll quilts when you get a minute?

My FMQ on the small machine all looks like that, what little I have done, I was giggling the whole time I was doing. I like my big machine for that way better, haven't figured out how to get the small quilts on the big table though, and some of what I do on it is funny as well. I am in learning mode on all of it. The piecing I pretty much I have under control, though every now and again I learn something about it as well,

Cute - I have no idea really how the FMQ works other than what I see on TV but couldn't you baste the small quilt to a length of a sheet or something to be able to temporarily make it fit your hoop on the big machine? I don't mean over the sheet but attach a length of sheet on all 4 sides with a basting stitch you can remove when you are done? Or the two sides that fit over the roller(whatever the correct term is) to keep the quilt tight. Just a thought. As I don't do FMQ I am probably way off base here.

She did pm me back to let me know that she got hers from me but she hasn't posted any pic. think she said she has been busy. If she doesn't post a pic soon then I will post one for her since she did get it alreday. :D

Chele 10-07-2009 06:03 PM

Yes, STAR, go ahead and post. We would love to see your quilt! Mardi may have gotten busy with her new grandbabies. I'll drop her a note in the next day or two.

Rhonda, I will have to show you what the doll quilt would look like on the big table, since it had that embroidery in the center, I needed to do custom work around that, so it had to be the quilting machine and not the embroidery machine, I can do program work on the embroidery machine if I do a pieced top. The quilting table is set full size, so it is 11 feet, The arm on my machine is 16 inches, so could do almost the whole top all at once, the issue mostly would be to get the sides, there are clamps but they won't reach that far in, If I have a chance I will put the next one on just for reference and a laugh.
