Jaba, love your DQ from TMU, that swirly fabric is gorgeous.

Jean D, you have outdone yourself, what a wonderful package you sent to Kitsy, beautiful quilt with all those goodies.

The patriotic month just goes on and on - sew cute quilts and all ready for your July 4th celebrations

BuzzinBumble 06-29-2013 01:35 PM

Robin, you will be in my thoughts and prayers as you approach this part of your treatment. Right now I am praying that all is a complete go ahead with the stem cell transfer. It is really scary, but worse would be having to put it off and go through more preparation and waiting before you can have it. You are such a sweet, sweet person and I know we all are hoping for the best for you!

Nancy, the quilt you made Skaduzy is a doozy! Hee hee. I love the brightness of your RW&B's, the polka dot theme and the pattern you chose.
Toomanyufos, how neat that you shaped yours like an octagon! I love the fabrics and pattern you chose too!
Jean D I love the quilt you made for Kitsy! What a fabulous idea it is to use our flag in the center of a log cabin block! And your handstitching is the icing on the cake!

Seeing all these beautiful little quilts really shows how great red white and blue look together. I just love the combination. It worked out so wonderfully to make June the patriotic theme month so everyone will have their little quilts to enjoy on the 4th of July. Can't wait to see what else comes in this week.

Linny 06-29-2013 01:44 PM

Robin, you are in my thoughts and I keep you in my daily prayers...all the best to you as you go through your next phase of treatment. Hugs.

Love the log cabin with the flag as the starting point - Toomany what a fun shape - love the floating star.

Here's a sneak peek for my partner - sorry berryberry you'll just have to wait to see the front. It should arrive before the 4th.

Psychomomquilter 06-30-2013 03:23 AM

Krystyna, your idea sounds fantabulious! just find someone to do it!

Krystyna 06-30-2013 08:42 AM

July Partners have been posted!

Jean D 06-30-2013 12:27 PM

Dear Robin, will keep up the prayers here too. Please keep us posted. Blessings to you.

debbyg received the quilt I made her last week but can't post pictures. She sent me the pictures today, since I had forgotten to take a photo of the finished quilt, so here they are. I made a 2-sided quilt, and perfect timing, today is Canada Day! Happy birthday, Canucks!

Oops, here is the red, white and BLUE part of the quilt.

Krystyna 07-01-2013 06:15 AM

Wow! That is brilliant! Debby you just raised the bar even higher!
Bilben, there is something seriously wrong with me. (But you already knew that, didn't you?) I didn't realize you were in Canada. So, yes, happy Canada Day! Whooo hoooo!!!! I think I'll join your celebration by barbecuing a moose!

Vanogay 07-01-2013 08:15 AM

You'd better be hungry K - that's alot of bu...moose! :D

Krystyna 07-01-2013 08:49 AM

Vanogay, I will share. Pull up a chair. It might take a while before it's done, so perhaps we should have some cocktails.

BertieD 07-01-2013 09:41 AM

Bilben, that is one of the most creative RWB flags I've ever seen! Lucky Debbyg. I like Canada's flag, too! Happy Canada Day or whatever it's called. I love stars and have never seen so many different fabrics with stars on it that I DON'T have, lol! Just so much originality on this board -- that's what makes it fun. I just got back from a big quilt show in Indiana and it was combined with a Hudson Car show. Did you know they made cars in the most glorious colors? Said if you wanted a black car, buy a Ford! LOL! We're going to TX on Wednesday so talk to ya'll when I get back unless I can sneak on at my DSIL's house on her computer.

Krystyna 07-01-2013 09:51 AM

Happy trails, Bertie! Sounds like you're really getting around this summer!

I would have sworn I posted a picture of the DQ I received from NanaVal, but I don't see it. I wonder where it went. Maybe off in cyberspace? Maybe in the wrong thread? Anyway, I just love it and here is a picture!!

Krystyna 07-01-2013 11:21 AM

Maybe it went in July? I know I saw it, too. Seeing it again is good too. Still love, it Nana Val!

rwquilts 07-01-2013 12:27 PM

Lots of fun and cute, cute DQ's everyone! Love the eye candy! :)

Cute! I think it only takes 2 hours to get there! :p

Maybe......it IS going airmail after all! :D

Totally Off Topic - I love sparrows. They are so tiny and yet there is a life in them. I just love them. That said, I don't know why, but I keep finding dead baby birds. I found one a couple of weeks ago and wrapped him up so something wouldn't eat him. Today, I found two that were barely out of their shells. They had no feathers. First I saw one, and then the second which, unfortunately, someone stepped on. On the other side of the complex I saw one of the residents who was very busy planting flowers. I walked over and complimented him and then I told him about the baby birds and asked if he would mind burying them. I told him I just didn't want to put their tiny bodies in the trash. He kindly agreed and dug a hole. Then he asked me if I would like to say a prayer! So I did. And that was that. I felt that all was well with the cycle of their tiny little lives.

OK. I'm weird. I think I'll go make a Lean Pocket for dinner since hubby is working overtime again. Over and out.

Well Ms Bertie you sure are galavanting about! Drive safe, have a great 4th!

wanda lou 07-01-2013 04:45 PM

K You are not weird at all... I always say a little prayer for any dead animals I see...

Thank you QuilterMomma Love my doll quilts, yep I got 2. will post a picture later tonight.

Vanogay 07-01-2013 05:07 PM

I agree with you Krystna and WandaLou _ I always say a little prayer for a dead animal as well. In the spring, it seems I see more dead animals on the roads - they always lose to the cars. I try not to get too upset, but it doesn't always work. Don't ever be upset with yourself if you have a tender heart.

BuzzinBumble 07-02-2013 04:10 AM

Krystyna, Wanda Lou, and Vanogay, that is a wonderful and lovely thing to do. It's as the song says...His Eye is on the Sparrow.

Cogito, your sneak peek is intriguing. Wow Gaijin is in Japan, I had not realized that.

Hhhhmmm, intriguing, eh? Isn't that the socially polite way of saying "Blech" but I will be nice and say... intriguing...:D:D:D Jest kidding!

BuzzinBumble 07-02-2013 04:58 AM

Oh no, Cogito. Intriguing is good....can't wait to see more of it. Hmmmmmm.... maybe we have more than one "Brat" here? :D:p

OOPS, my secret is out! I have been known by that moniker since I was a wee one. :D

BuzzinBumble 07-02-2013 05:40 AM

Forewarned is forearmed. LOL....Well now that explains why you are so much fun!
My Grandma was called Brat. And it fit. You never knew what she was going to say or do. She was a riot!

dabbler312 07-02-2013 07:18 AM

Bilben that is a very creative flag quilt - the stars remind of fly fishing flies - love the variety of embelishments for the stripes.

Cogito - thanks for the sneak peek - can't wait until Gaijin posts a photo of the rest of it.

Love that a prayer was said for the lost little sparrow - I feed a variety of birds and get a lot of joy out of watching them come into the feeders - I'm hopeful that one day they will start to nest in some of the trees we planted several years ago.

Vanogay 07-03-2013 03:09 AM

We lived in Colorado for many years. We finally moved from the country into the city - a subdivision set just outside of the city, but on the fringes of a golf course. There were no trees. We planted some, but that was the one thing I missed the most - the birds in my back yard. Put in strawberry bushes down close to the golf course property for the birds, put in bird houses, but for the 4 years we lived there, saw very few birds. Here in Tennessee, we're enjoying our birds immensely. Put in some evergreens as well as deciduous trees and have the birds all year round! Love watching them - course, that's why I'm a bird watcher.

BuzzinBumble 07-03-2013 04:44 AM

Wow Berryberry that is magnificent! What is the name of that block? All I can joggle my brain into remembering is Carpenter's something. Probably even got that part wrong. Anyway - it's wonderful!

Onalee I love the teddy bear quilt you made! The star corners, everything is just perfect!

Krystyna 07-03-2013 05:05 AM

Berryberry and Onalee, what delightful little quilts!
