Thanks for coming forward, Mariposa! I need several neutrals to finish my project. This would be great.

boilerbarb 03-04-2011 12:06 PM

Just mailed my squares. Excited about getting my first batch. I would definitely like to be included in the neutrals and another swap. Been wanting to do a postage stamp quilt for a while. This will get me moving.

Mariposa 03-04-2011 03:38 PM

OK--we are seeing how many would be interested in doing a "neutrals" 1.5" swap. Are you interested? Please send me a PM if you are. Trying to see how many are, and how many squares/sets we could do.
Thanks,
~Mariposa

Ditto! Not sure if I have enough for a neutral swap.

pattis47 03-06-2011 03:05 PM

Before I say a definite yes, will you clarify for me what you consider "neutrals"?

Hey gang - me again. Just a few reminders as you are finishing up.
1 - label your sets with your board name, state, etc
2 - double check that you have 50 squares per baggie
3 - No flannel, please. If you sent some don't worry it will make due but for those of you still cutting, please NO flannel.

I went to the post office yesterday and have five or six squishies. I begged the postman for a nice US post office rub - they are fabulous.

Missi 03-10-2011 08:08 AM

Just back from the post office. The list is updated as of this morning - Thursday March 10. If I counted right I already have over half the sets and the mailing deadline isn't until next week. You guys rock!!!!

SewExtremeSeams 03-10-2011 03:06 PM

Missi, I go in for hip replacement in the morning. I am finishing up 12 more stacks of squares today before I start sorting them into the 20 individual piles.

My sweetheart (DH) has offered to take them to the post office if I will write out all of the instructions for him. He will put the squishy in the mail by or BEFORE the deadline. Sigh... I know he can do it.

Thanks in advance for handling this swap and for understanding if anything should not go quite right... :-D

montanablu 03-11-2011 05:11 AM

Linda, take care of yourself! Good luck w/the surgery - I know you will feel SO much better w/a new hip. Isn't modern medicine amazing!?!!

Thank you. Yes, what they can do nowadays is marvelous. Three hours from surgery and I just can't sleep anymore.

All my little postage stamps are in their ziplock bags and everything is ready to go to the post office. Whew, not recommended to do on the night before a big day.

As my Mom used to say as I was growing up, "See you in the funny papers". [not sure what that really means but we all used to get a big laugh out of it.]   :!:

Thanks Missi for the link! "Omigosh" is something else isn't it?! Whoa! 1/2 inch squares...not 1 1/2 inch...but 1/2 inch! Sure not something I can do...yep!...defeated even the idea!

Missi 03-14-2011 01:41 PM

Carol is Georgia what is your board name? I have your set but can't mark you off.

Momofthree 03-14-2011 03:26 PM

Missi, I realized after I mailed my squares that I did not put in the return postage, so you will get two envelopes from me. The second will have the return postage in it.

Missi 03-15-2011 12:30 PM

no packages at the post office this morning when I went - a very disappointing day

Evie 03-15-2011 12:33 PM

Today's the mailing deadline, right? You'll be inundated with squishies in the next few days and you'll be sorry what you wished for! :)

dream56 03-15-2011 12:49 PM

SewExtremeSeams 03-21-2011 03:09 PM

Missi, thank you that you have always been super considerate of others' circumstances and so good with handling all of the swapping and such with these postage stamp swaps.

They are fun to collect. Here's to hoping everything runs smoothly for you. Bless you for your part. :-D :-D :-D

Keepmelaffn 03-21-2011 03:43 PM

I second that SewExtreme!
Missi...please check your PMs for my new address.
Thanks!

Missi 03-22-2011 07:54 AM

I haven't made it to the post office this morning. But after checking through my lists I think I am only missing packages from two swappers. They pm'd me last week 4 my address and let me know they were mailing them.

quilting Carol 03-22-2011 08:43 AM

I see by the list that you got my 20 sets. I am so glad to see that they arrived. I sent you a special one of the duplicates that I had left over as a thank you for doing the swap. Can't wait for the ones I get back this is the second time for doing this trade for me and I was very happy the first time. Waiting for more before I start the project I have in mind....

davidwent 03-22-2011 08:54 AM

I too want to thank you Missi!! This was a super fun swap. I am sorry I missed the first one and I hope this one didn't take too much out of you and will do another. Count me in if you do
Thanks so much!!
David

Missi 03-22-2011 12:55 PM

Well I went to the post office and NO squishies. I double checked my list when I got back to the office and of those swappers who are not marked as received I am only waiting on packages from Jennifer22206 and Neece. I don't have that anyone else contacted me that they were mailing or for my address. So as soon as those squishies arrive I will find a place to swap out 60 some envelopes of postage stamps. I taking a vacation day and quilting Friday and Saturday at my LQS down the road.

Hopefully I can get all these swapped out Wednesday and/or Thursday and then I can go the post office and mail these Friday.

Keepmelaffn 03-22-2011 02:36 PM

Missi...please check your pms...my change of address is there!
Thanks! Sandy

Evie 03-22-2011 03:23 PM

Jeez, Missi -- I don't see YOUR name checked off! :D I am so looking forward to receiving our new stamps. Have been working on my blocks. A bit tedious but I'm enjoying it a whole lot. I hope to get this quilt done this year sometime!

Missi 03-25-2011 07:35 PM

ok - swappers an update. No squishies at the post office Thursday and I didn't get there today. I will make a special trip tomorrow and hopefully they are there and I can swap everything out on Sunday. I will keep you updated.

Mine are "received" atleast 15 of 20 sets. If I get the other five done great if not I will just swap 15 :)

sew cornie 03-25-2011 07:46 PM

Thanks for the update Missi! I appreciate all of your work with this.
