HI April! Yes, 30 sets is doable! :)

marytoddliz 01-03-2013 12:30 AM

I sent mine to you yesterday (It is after midnight so I had to think about that) Should arrive on Sat and confirmation # is 0312 3190 0002 1051 5221

Our post office was also closed at noon on New Years Eve, and I stay up and sew very late... so I was arriving at PO after they were closed! I really do need to start reading the notices that are posted! And did some one say postage is going up!!! Yikes not again!

Mariposa 01-03-2013 06:06 AM

Yes, postage rates are going up, starting Jan. 27th.

LovingIzabella 01-03-2013 11:37 AM

They can be any color or print correct?

If you guys see volcanic eruption coming from the north east coast of the US, it will be from a small town on an island a couple of miles from NYC...Actually, it will be coming from Woodmere Blvd.
I mailed my package to Mariposa... but before I did.. I ordered the padded flat rate envelopes online, and printed my labels.. So far. So good.. Took the nice packages to the P.O., and was told that they would be cheaper to put it into a different Tyavek envelope. I wrote up the labels, and went to a different clerk, as the first one was helping another person. What should've cost me about $5.30 X 2, ended up costing about $11 X 2.. I don't understand how the clerks in the P.O. don't know what they are doing.. These clerks aren't new on the job. They have been here for years. My mistake was not taking my package, and going to another P.O. I wanted to make sure it got out, and didn't want to take the chance, and run into a time crunch.. I thought it didn't make sense, but have been putting in major hours at work, and was really tired.

Mariposa 01-06-2013 09:17 AM

Barri- you will like the padded FRE's. Especially the newew ones! :) And cost $5.30 to send. Not sure of new rates coming ~~

barri1 01-06-2013 09:57 AM

Mariposa,
I was using the FRE. I had gotten them a couple of weeks ago, and the guy was saying the only FRE were the cardboard. Two guys were saying it. It ticks me off that they don't know what they are doing. These are guys that have been in the position for at least 15-20 years. I live in a very affluent area, and the people have an attitude that money is no object, and I see the clerks in the stores have an attitude that they don't give a damn. The people that work here, don't live here. There are a lot of things that I am seeing that are getting progressively worse. A couple of them are the attitude of entitlement. The guy with the DDS plates parking in the bus stop to run in for a bagel.. The guy that parked in the middle of Central Ave to use the ATM machine. I was riding my bike. Couldn't go arround him on the right, as there was a car parked.. Couldn't go around him on the left, as there was traffic. Had to either wait, or bring the bike on the sidewalk..

Mariposa 01-09-2013 09:11 PM

Barri-- I got your package today! I'll send you a PM too~

barri1 01-12-2013 05:58 AM

Since I am not one to sit, and do nothing about the US post office, I went back to talk to the clerk, and figure out whyI paid double of what I should have. When I ordered the padded envelopes, I ordered Flat rate express instead of flat rate priority. Flat rate priority are $5.30 to mail, and the others go by the weight. It make no sense that the others go by the weoght. Anyway I ordered the right ones.. Ughhh

Mariposa 01-12-2013 09:26 AM

Barri- I am going to send your pkg. back in a Priority FRE~ will see how the stamps come off the other one~ :)

barri1 01-13-2013 06:28 AM

Hi, Rhonda
I am at the point of laughing. I find it mind boggling that the guys that work for a company (USP), don't know customer service.
I'm chalking this one up to stupidity. Both theirs, and mine. I did order the right ones, but even if I didn't send it then, I would've been late with it..

quiltinghere 01-13-2013 10:31 AM

I forgot about the swap . . . good thing I remembered!

Nan

booklady 01-13-2013 10:18 PM

Thought I had missed the deadline. Sure glad I didn't! I'll be sending my package tomorrow. Will try to get the padded flat rate this time. Sending 25 packets. Thanks for hosting the swap! Judy

sustraley 01-14-2013 10:40 AM

Mariposa 01-18-2013 05:16 PM

Pink Lady 01-22-2013 08:49 AM

2013 has started on with a punch for us. I will not be sending you my square Mariposa. Two weeks ago I gave the to my husband to mail as I was sick (asthma was real bad)and not going out in the cold. Last night went down to pick up some dog food and what did I find but my package to you. So I will keep it and be all ready to mail next time:) I can not say much to him as are life has been turn upside down with things in the new year. New job for hubby.redo's to the house my sewing room is all most done. My grandmother is in the hospital she is 94 been going to see her as often as I can until she passes. then two weeks ago right around the time when I asked hubby to mail the package our firer box went in the furnace. Plus our 9 year old dog became sick so trip to the vet and $389. later. When will it end.lol I just need to keep smiling things will get better and only have the baseboard to be put on in my sewing room. Really looking forward to having a room just for me. There are some good things about the kids all leaving home I get a room for me:) I will be busy sewing all the square I have until the next swap that will keep me out of trouble.
Hope you are all having a great day.
Kendra

We have quite a few that are not here yet. If there are not enough folks to swap out all sets, then I can send the extras back.
Let's wait and see how many come in ~:)

Twisted Quilter 01-23-2013 01:18 PM

Darn, I just finished my 20 sets but it doesn't look like we have that many swappers.

Could someone PM me with Mariposa's address, her mailbox is full.

Thanks.

Mariposa 01-23-2013 08:51 PM

frustratedquilter40 01-24-2013 10:04 AM

Hello Rhonda did not get a chance to get to the post office yesterday had to have the furnace guy come out and take a look at the furnace and that always takes longer than they say it will. Anyways mailed today 30 sets and all the necessary stuff that goes along with it :) in a FRE here is the tracking # 420 99111 9405 5036 9930 0295 1192 71.

Mariposa 01-24-2013 01:44 PM

*Thanks for the heads up Christine!!

Twisted Quilter 01-24-2013 05:00 PM

Package went out today. :o

bepositive 01-24-2013 08:51 PM

I put my package in the mail this afternoon! As I was leaving school to go to the PO, I put the big baggie with the little baggies in it onto a radiator in the hall so I could zip my coat. . . the baggie slid onto the floor and all the little bags fell out! I got all the bags, but even though our custodians do a great job, there might also be a little bonus dust bunny in there as well! :) Sorry!

Psychomomquilter 01-25-2013 04:43 AM

ps. if you have extra just send them on to me, I can and will use them for projects I have lined up

barri1 01-25-2013 02:08 PM

For those of you that didn't get your envelopes in the mail, YOU STILL HAVE TIME.. Today is only the 25th of Jan.. YOU CAN DO IT...

frustratedquilter40

*Please remember to pack your envelopes well! One I received was badly damaged on one end. Totally ripped open, and was in a plastic baggie from the P.O. All is well!

:)

sew4nin 01-27-2013 12:02 PM

I mailed mine on Friday. If there are not enough swappers, I wouldn't mind getting more than one set from the same person - just a thought.
