i MUST STAY THAT ONE OF MY DAUGHTERS SURPRISED ME SO MUCH BY COMING HOME FROM COLLEGE AND SHE ALREADY THOGHT OF MOTHER'S DAY A MONTH AGO AND PLANNED IT AS SUCH. I FELT SO SPECIAL. THEN I GOT A SWIVEL CUTTING MAT THAT WILL BE SO HELPFUL IN CUTTING, A PERRY T SHIRT WITH A COLLECTOR PHINEAS AND FERB PIN. I EVEN GOT FIVE FAT QUARETERS THEN FRENCH RULERS FOR MY QUILT DESIGNING AND LOTS OF LOTHION TO SOFTEN MY HANDS FROM THE QUILTING. I AM SO BLESSED. THEN THE HUBBY GOT ME AN IPHONE SO I CAN KYPE WITH CHILDREN AS WELL. OH SO BLESSED I AM.

I haven't started my blocks yet...But, I know exactly which ones I'm going to make. I really had to think about what blocks to add to the mix that would feel right. It definitely got easier when I started to think of what my favorites were. Then of course I had to rein in the ideas. lol :) I look forward to seeing sneaky peaks of everyones blocks. I hope to have a set done by the end of the week.

Sandy, I will definitely have my blocks to you early. My daughters baby is due in early October. My first grandbaby. It's a boy. I definitely want to be with her. :)

quiltermomma.... wow! You cleaned up! I got mixed live flowering plants for all of my big accent pots and hangers. Eight of them. But, that is what I wanted. I don't need anything really.

I am a quilting diva for rulers and tools. Since I do custom quilting and longarm, the design rulers are going to be such a help. On the doll quilt swap, they may end up with some whole cloth quilts while I get it perfected for designing. And of course, will help with the trimming of swap blocks. The mat is 6.5" so perfect for that kind of work. Have to wait a little longer, hand not ready for holding ruler, can't hold firm enough yet. I was just so excited ladies that I wanted to share. You may see a couple pieces of that fabric in your blocks on this swap. Well, back to work

Me too quiltermomma! I love tools and rulers and patterns. But, my family wouldn't have a clue what to get me, so they sometimes buy me a gift certificate to my favorite quilt store or the Hancock fabric store. That is so fun to go in and blow a hundred bucks on quilting things. LOL!

That is always fun to just go and spend money at the LQS,

Check out the cool machine card I just got on line! This should be really cool in this quilt.

Got my first set finished today!:) The mirror blocks are 9 1/2".

The pink poodle in the snowball are 6 1/2". I think it's my favorite so far.

Ms Grace, love the mirrors and poodle. I hope I get a poodle. I hope I get a pink high heel shoe and a LOVE block too. I found some lady bug fabric and flower fabric. I will have to think what to do with them.

Well, finally decided no to swap the pp flower block due to the color choices making it muddy and instead I have started on a block that is truely one of my favortie things, CUPCAKES. They are blue and white, done in stripes and sprinkles fabrics and they are so cute. Will post pics when they are done. It's my first attempt at appliques with lots of curves so I hope the decorative stitching comes out okay on them as I will be trying some of the stitches out on my new machine. Hope someone loves cupcakes.
