Mary your pink ribbon is wonderful, i have never seen it presented as an angel and I think it is a great idea.
Lori, the quilt looks fantastic I think you are doing a great job putting it together and am so pleased that Marty likes it.

Lori, Marty's quilt is really coming together nicely. How do you like the Quilt As You Go technique? I have never made a quilt like this but am thinking about it now having made my block for Marty. Making a couple of quilts would be great, you could also use a few of the blocks for coordinating accent pillows &/or a wallhanging. Thanks for sharing the picture!

I had never seen the qayg method but I think that I really like it! I have tried quilting lap size quilts on my machine and hated every stinking minute of it! That is why I stopped doing Quilt For Kids because of the quilting. I think I could quilt one block at a time.

You really have to be careful about putting the blocks together for large quilts, but it is so much easier to quilt nicely when you don't have a long arm. I actually did a king sized quilt using QAYG.
