I was also thinking autumnal for August, but move up the holidays: Sept-Halloween, Oct-Turkeyish, Nov-Christmasy, Dec-silver/blue, maybe?

And, BRT, I would love to send you all twelve at the same time if that is alright.
Thats fine and dandy! I agree with moving the months ahead, so the blocks are not "late."

How does this look? The only one I am "hmming" and "hawwwing" about is the Halloween... I was thinking maybe pink and brown instead?

    Feb.- Blue and Creme
    March- purple/green hearts (http://quilting.about.com/od/quiltpa...eart_quilt.htm)
    April- batiks
    May- teal/brown
    June- scrappy shoe fly (http://quilting.about.com/od/quiltbl..._dash.-6r7.htm)
    July- black/white/red
    Aug.- Autumn Colors
    Sept.- Halloween
Oct.- Turkeys (Use as an inspiration!)
    Nov.- Christmas
    Dec.- Silver/Blue Star (http://quilting.about.com/od/blockof...riend_star.htm(

It is a pretty simple block, but one that should be pretty easy for beginners, and offer a challenge for embellishment for more advance quilters. :) Anyone have any other suggestions?

How about a "heart" star or Friendship star for Feb.? (I'll look for a pattern....)

wow, skip a day of reading and so much happens! The 6" lottery sounds like fun and I like that it's optional by the month. The monthly selections look great. :0)

Maribeth - your blocks went postal this morning!

I just wanted to write a quick thank you to Blueribbontoes!!!
I was the lucky winner of a monthly draw! I will post a picture hopefully tomorrow when the camera is charged. It is beautiful! It is a card holder (for lack of maybe a better term!)
It opens up and there are four beautiful cards inside that BRT made! She did make the holder as well! It is absolutely beautiful!! Thank you so much! I am shocked I never win!! :D :D  :D :D

Quick question on the 6" drawing... if there is a month that is set for batiks, does that mean that other months our fabric choice should NOT have batiks in it? Say, in doing this one coming up, not a batik blue, then?
