I received my block from blueribbontoes. Actually, she made me two! They are very pretty and I love them. The fabric she used is just too cute! Here are some pictures.[img]

Magnolia, your blocks are great and your the first to get blocks :!: How lucky you are  I can't wait to see mine. I finished Sulabug's Wonky Log Cabin block and I'm going to get it in the mail tomorrow. This is so much fun :!: :!: :!: THANK YOU Blueribbontoes for doing this swap.

I would love to get a start on in November BUT I have Kindergarten 2010 student orientations and transition to school to organise, 21 student end of year school reports to write, 83 student reports to check (I supervise Kinder), 2 teacher accreditation reports to write, AND 2 quilts and 2 quilted bags to finish before Christmas... 7 weeks left of school and as I add to the "to do" list, I couldnt possibly make two blocks in the meantime... as much as I would love to. I have the whole of January off work and its something to look forward to. Can't wait to find out who I have so I can plan and make their block.

I am so envious of all the people who will have 2 blocks before I even get started.

I really really wanted to be able to assign partners to all the new people who joined, but I have to admit that I am a bit over extended and disorganized. I will wait to assign partners UNTIL JANUARY to save my sanity. VERY VERY SORRY TO OUR NEW MEMBERS... but Im only human with many kids so rather than do a pisspoor job, I think I will stick to my original "ruling" that all new members to this swap must wait until January. (HOWEVER, if you want to swap among yourselves... hint, hint, you can pm each other and join us officially in January.)

I'd like to start in January, sounds like a lot of fun. I will think of a theme by then, but right off I am thinking patriotic, although I already have two quilts with that theme. How about the new fairy fabrics that are out? That would be neat. Hmmmm I will choose a theme and PM Blueribbontoes soon. Thanks for letting me in!
