I think I am in trouble already.
I got my January person but I am not sure what type of block I am doing. Is it birds or what and I should have already sent it out right. My poor swap partner must be ready mad at me. I have a bird one almost done that I could send out tomorrow. But I had an idea for a winter one I wanted to try which uses a couple of different things like piecing and painting.
This is the busiest time of the year for my ranch because I raise Free Range Turkeys. Thanksgiving was crazy and how we headed in to Christmas sales with a surgery pushed in just to liven things up. I need surgery on my shoulder but have put it off for three years and now I can't put it off at all. Or at least the Dr says I can't.
So, will someone tell me how deep a hole I am please before Wed cause that my surgi date.

your January block doesn't have to be mailed until Jan.31st, but if you want to send sooner no sooner than Jan 1st. you should have got a e-mail with your partners theme. you can also check pg 1 of this thread to double check what exactly they wanted.

Thanks Star I was really sweating this. I didn't want to mess up.
I use a lot of my swap partner colors so now I can play. Just need to nail down theme. Think I will do like some of the others and make a couple. January and February a real slow time for us, New poults don't start arriving until March so I get to play during the winter.

Alright I have finally found a few minutes to myself and I am going to post my pictures of the blocks I have received. The first is from Knot Sew. I was not a batik person until this block. She also sent me extra fabric incase I wanted to make another block. Thanks Ruth I love it!

The second one is from Sewjoyce. I love how realistic the owls look. She also sent extra fabric. My stash is building. Thanks so much Joyce it is great!

This one is from Deecee. I was so excited when she agreed to swap. A block from down under :D She appliqued an owl and even added a special touch.....a ladybug! She sent along a piece of owl fabric and some buttons. I love it all! Thanks so much Dianne!

SewCornie Glad you liked the block, almost didn't send it. It was the thrid block I made, I have never used plaids before and the other two blocks I made I didn't like :!:

Thanks everyone for the nice things you said about my block :!: I am new to quilting and when I see the AWESOME blocks you all make, I am not sure I should be swapping mine with you.
