Though not quilty I thought you'd like to see what I quick did with scraps today. My 5 yo GD left her holey jeans here, so Gram decided to fix them up a bit. To sew them down first slipped the narrow leg over my free arm and then used my FMQ foot and "cat scratched" around the edges 2x to secure the patches in place. I hope she likes them! She's the 3rd little girl in the family so this hand-me-down is now a little more personal.

Ahhhh so cute!! I love them!

Since I am not selling to Yoder's anymore I am trying to get more into brighter colors. I'll always still do my favorite country colors but I need to appeal to more people's taste than just mine.

I think there are alot of us who would rather use the country colors, but that's not what's hitting the markets is it? Thanks goodness for stash!

I like your bookmarks Rhonda. I make them too although with more folks not reading paper books, me included, ..seems like they are becoming a collector item.

Well you can use them to mark your place in a quilt magazine too! Or if you carry a Bible you can use them in that also.

Rhonda, how are you making the bookmarks? When I have made them in the past, I used card stock paper and put fabric that had wonder under on it. I have some little half squares and these would be a wonderful project to give as gifts to the 3 ladies from the library that I play bingo with.

Snowing here in ND again. On Saturday I almost raked my lawn because there wasn't any snow left, but worked on taxes instead. Winter is still with us.

You can do them any way you like. but I use my shortcut methods as in my Boston Blocks or Star point blocks etc.

Here is one of my tutorials on making a bookmark my way. - http://www.quiltingboard.com/links-r...al-t84639.html
