Thanks. I knew I only needed 24 blocks for my plan, but it was worth it to do a 3rd set so I can donate some. When I get the 36 back, I'll divide them up by how they look best together. I hope nobody minds that I'm doing this with their blocks. I know everyone worked so hard on making them and I do appreciate it so much! My 5yo DS was very sick as a newborn and we received a Linus blanket while he was hospitalized. It was so comforting to have something soft and colorful amidst all the hard, sterile medical machinery. I know that by putting together these blocks to donate will warm someone else's heart and bring them some comfort too.

Ladies, I need to make something very clear......when I sent out the pm's for those whose blocks were coming in this week, and I said that I can't wait to see them, I meant that I am VERY ANXIOUS TO SEE ALL OF THE HARD WORK. It did not mean I CAN'T WAIT, DON'T SEND THEM.......there has been some very hurt feelings due to that statement. I apologize if it was misunderstood. I can't wait to see them because I am thrilled at what has been sent and I want so much to get them swapped and mailed back to you.

Look at this fabric, it would make a wonderful backing. 8-)

Hi Grama: Is the color of this red white and blue or a neutral tone on tone. I can't find it in color anywhere to get a better look Thanks

hi Deb.. saw the notice that my blocks are going in the mail tomorrow!!! Oh JOY.. happy happy.. my blocks are coming!! I can't wait.

When my DH heard me cheering he came to see what was going on.. told him.. MY BLOCKS ARE COMING.. he said oh good.. but I don't get it.. so I showed him the list and said I sent in 3 sets.. I'll get back 3 of mine and 33 others.. He said "how is that going to work? It's going to be a HODGE-PODGE, isn't it?" I patiently explained that when you have 36 different blocks you have a sampler quilt and that they are beautiful! He doesn't get it... He'll see. They will be beautiful all together!

Thank you quilters for your work. Thank You DEB for your hard work and patience.. I can see this was quite the undertaking.. Everyone appreciates you!

I believe that it is a neutral tone on tone, beige and tans, but old fashioned, with sailing ships, alphabet or number samplers and WIDE!!

    Good morning Deb,
I took it just like you said it. I can't wait to see the blocks either..
I thought it was stated ok.
Although, I didn't get mine in the mail and probably won't. I fell and sprained my foot real bad. I am on crutches and it isn't so easy to get around. it feels a little better today, but, I won't be able to get to the PO. I could have my girlfriend pick them up and send Fedex overnight on Monday.
Otherwise I will save them and I am sure there will be another R/W/B next year.
    Have a good week.
