All my blocks are finished, just need pressing. hopping to get them mailed in the next couple of days. I also did extras for my quilt. I'm excited over this swap.

I believe that should be fine. The main goal is to make 12 of the same pattern. No one would be the wiser except for the host mixing it all up. congrats on completing them!!!

I think it came out looking pretty good for a new quilter, took me a few minutes to figure how it went together, but after I did found it quite easy!
Ok I ran into a problem, with the red fabric, I ran short of a FQ to finish the 12 blocks, so I ran off to Hancocks where I purchase the FQ and they didn't have any more in stock, so I went to another one across town, and they didn't have it either so I went looking around the store to see what I could find that would be close to what I was using and found this!

So my question is I know there all suppose to be the same, but I'm learning and didn't know how many blocks a FQ would make...and I'm going to have to use a different red and this is a close as I could get, is this exceptable?

I had Carsey remove my name from the swap because I was having 'issues' with my blocks. Sewing/quilting doesn't come easy for me but I wanted to try something more challenging. Now that most blocks are made, I'm thinking it's safe to sign up, but I'm going to wait until I have them blocked. Hopefully, everything will work out.

This is my first swap, and I think they turned out pretty darn good. Here's a couple of pictures.

Here's my block for the swap.
It's a 9 patch 8 point star (not sure if there's an official name for it)

Twisted Quilter that is a great block. Looks like a running star to me.

Neayact, I love yours as well.

Me, I don't do stars at all, so I'll be thrilled to get some in this swap!
