This looks very simple to me. Except for the triangle around the border. But could you just make it so that it is all the squares and when it comes back to you...you square it up???? Actually, I can see that some of your border is not exactly triangles anyways. It would be easy for everyone if they were just small squares put together in the manner you want and then you trim around. I could see making a pattern for that. It sure is pretty.

OOOOH wait the triangles on the corners would have to be different. HMMMMMMM. Where did you get the pattern???? Maybe one of us can figure out a pattern for you.

Honestly, I looked at the GS block, drew up a draft for a GGS and figured it out. There are plenty of instructions online for the GS but not the GGS.

It's kind of like a Trip Around the World block except on point; kind of like a bargello in technique, sort of. See what I mean?? Aaaaahhhh!!!

Here's a tutorial I found: (one of many)

    http://blueelephantstitches.blogspot...-tutorial.html

I did a mock up block and did mine in strip sets.

I suppose I could add instructions to say, '. . . add a 4th row of 12 squares; add 16 background squares.' Would that make sense?

I like your suggestion '. . . (sew) all the squares and when it comes back to you...you square it up????'. Would that work for everyone??

    Ooooh, those are pretty!

I've thought and thought and thought about it, and have reluctantly decided that I probably better skip this one. Between the Boomerang swap, a massive upcoming "house clean out" followed by an equally massive yard sale, a promised baby quilt I'd forgotten about (oops), and the upcoming craft fair season, I'm afraid I'll end up with too much on my plate. In fact, I think I see stuff already spilling over my plate's edges! LOL!

I'll try to do the next one, though.

I think there is a tutorial for that on either 'Happy Zombie' or 'A Few Scraps' blog. I can't remember which. I think it's Happy Zombie though.

I had both the wrong blogs (sorry). It's from "Bee In My Bonnet." She had a step by step tutorial at one point but it looks like it was incorporated into a published pattern and book. The pattern is for sale on Etsy (https://www.etsy.com/listing/1803130...ranny-squared?) and then she has multiple links on her blog to the book itself. It appears like the tutorial isn't on the blog anymore because of this.

The blog is here - http://beeinmybonnetco.blogspot.com/

I saw that tute too and it's now available in a book. Seems to be the fairly common online marketing technique. Lots of quilters use it, including Bonnie Hunter with her annual mystery quilt. She makes the pattern/instructions available for ((I think)) 6 months then takes it off because it will be published in an upcoming book. It's actually a very good technique.

Anyway, as I said, I drafted the pattern and figured it out and will send along instructions with my F8's if that's okay with everyone.
