Ok I am inspired and new at this. It looks like I need to get a move on as Buzzy Bee is leading the way with mail ready, already. Thanks for including me.

Cut the Kona Snow strip into 2 ½” squares to be placed around the outside of the quilt block.
From the F8, cut THREE 2 ½” strips from the 18” length and sub-cut into 2 ½” squares. You should get 21 squares but will only need 16. Please either use the leftover squares in one your projects or return them to me. Either way is fine with me!
Use your quilting artistic creativity to fill in the remaining squares as you see fit, using whatever you think compliments the F8 I sent you. Please use a scant ¼” seam in the construction of the block. When I made my mock-up block, I used a regular ¼” seam and my block measured 12” unfinished - - ½” too small. Darn!
PLEASE leave the outer part of the block intact with the ‘sawtooth’ edges (not shown in the picture). I will square up the blocks when they come back to me.
Thanks!!

Please let me know if this makes sense to everyone!

Thanks - - -

Hi giguilt!

Nice to meet you....I am fairly new to QB and just getting around to meeting everyone. I am so looking forward to this Swap. I did the last one along side Boom 11 and the quilt is really turning out beautiful.

Doing the same thing this Repeat Boom also. Knowing that, I cut all my F8s and packaged them when I was preparing for another Swap...so this time I was ready to mail ahead of schedule... I am not known for being the fastest kid on the block....

Look forward to swapping with you!

Giquilt welcome to our happy crew. It is fun. Nelco, I love the colors.

I spent the day going on a quilt run today with two other ladies. It is the Southern CA. quilt run that covers 4 counties....LA, Orange, San Bernadino and San Diego. We did three last week and LA today. Traffic is the word for LA. Although we drove my a policewoman who had pulled a car over and she had her gun drawn. Cars just whizzing by like just another day in LA. I am home all weekend and I am going to be sewing. Yah Hoo.

It's Sat. I am so excited because I get to start on my bucket list for the summer. Yep I do have one. Along with doing my boom blocks, I have some UFO's (about 25) that need to have some attention. I am thinking that being retired I have all the time n the world so why haven't I been working on these things all the time. Hmmmmm, well I have a quilt class I go to every week except summertime. Our instructor gives us a semester quilt, a yearly quilt (52 weeks) and then monthly quilts. So I get so involved with all that, that before I know it I have a back log of UFO's. Of course I know all of you don't have that problem. LOL. If any of you want some free patterns from my instructor (who also has her quilts published in quilt magazines) go to lynbrown.com Enjoy. Off to sew.

Thanks for doing this swap. Have my pattern printed, plan to cut fabric today along with packet making. Tomorrow plan to mail. I have stalked Lyn's website for some time. Printed some of her patterns, even though I have not use them yet. She looks like a great teacher. Wish I could take one of her classes.

PS: The block I picked is a 12" Broken Wheel Variation from Quilter Cache. I will send a F8 of color #2. Please pick a small flower print for color #1. Attached is a picture of some examples of fabrics I was thinking.

I made an example of the block as I will need 20 total for my quilt. so only 7 more + the RAB #2 blocks. Have packets ready, plan to mail tomorrow.

giquilt...beautiful. I love it.

Ok, some of you are confused about the rules and I am so glad that you have contacted me about them.
#3 should be eliminated. Because the rules have changed where you have to send everything to who ever runs the swap instead of to individuals....we are a little different on when you get the material out to me. We are all flexible in this group as this is only the second time we are doing this. If you need to have the three weeks to get your fabric to me....let me know. That would put the due date extended to July 17 instead of earlier. Let me know.
#12 Let me know when you mail your package with the tracking number. Also please post on the board that you have sent it so that others know.
I hope this clarifies everything. Let me know if anyone is still confused.
I think that I am going to be doing the hole in the barn pattern. It is simple to do and looks nice when put together.
Right now I am working on my blocks from the last Repeat Boom.
