Moonwork- it isnt too dark at all! I love it!

I need to get cracking on mine as well. I was so discouraged after my first test block that I set it aside...gotta jump back in!

Happy Lab....Don't worry if you don't have a block for everyone. I probably have it here and I will just make it up. Not a big deal. I know that MamaHauser is moving and so she was going to get her blocks done real early and send them back to me. But the rest of you.....don't worry. Plenty of time. I can't start on mine until the end of April due to a huge Quilt Auction that I am chairperson for. When I start, I usually do five a day with no problems. I am so loving all the ones that have been done so far. Absolutely gorgeous blocks. He He He....when I get them I could just keep them all. LOL. NOT I wouldn't do that but you all have given me ideas for future blocks and fabrics and colors..
Before I forget.....Hope you all have had a wonderful Easter day. My son left for a week in Alabama so I was alone today but it wasn't a big deal. I sewed.....Ha Ha what else would one do???? I took a workshop yesterday and it was a little tricky where we were doing mirror image shapes. I had follow the instructions that the lady told us. I had them all set out in their numbered piles 1 to 4. Then she came over to "help". I was going to do mine in a two color thing and she started laying out my shapes using all my colors. It looked nice but I kept wondering if I would be able to conitnue that on 5 more blocks. She kept telling me I did not have mirror images and I showed her that I did. Anyways...because I let her use the other color pieces, I didn't have the right shapes to continue to finish. Grrrrrrrr. So I stopped and Decided I would deal with it at home where I could figure it all out. I did that today and had to cut up two more squares of shape to make up for the loss of the colors that she put on my finished block. Otherwise, it was a really awesome class and I really love the different patterns. I am going to do a flower and hearts one next.
I hope tomorrow you all have time to sew and relax.

Mama h and Moonworks love my blocks. Thanks. I leave tomorrow for a week, most of the time will be at a quilt retreat and the last few days with one of my internet quilting buddies. Decided not to bring our swap blocks with because I will be borrowing a sewing machine and don't want to have problems with the scant quarter inch. When I get home will do the couple I think will give me the biggest problems first.

Good Morning all you wonderful ladies. It is indeed a beautiful sunny day and I am staying inside to sew. Well I may go out......I have a hankering to go see the ocean. I live about 8 - 10 miles from the ocean and I sometimes have to go check to see if it is still there. Have a wonderful day.
Oh My best friend in NH was in an accident in MA. She lives on the border of both states and was going to church yesterday. She hit some ice and the rest is history. She must have flipped a couple of times as the roof on on side is pretty bad. Glad I wasn't visiting as that is where I would have sat. Anyways, she is ok. A few bruises. Thank heaven for seat belts, airbags, etc. I am praying that for t he next few days, nothing pops up from the accident that could be serious for her. She needed a new car but I don't think this was her plan on how to get one.

Kelly I got your package today. That was very fast. But just think you can relax now and think about moving. Oh wait...you did say you had some other projects you had to get done before the move. Good luck.
