    Happy Memorial Day.
Ok someone posted on my facebook page about fireworks can trigger our soldiers who have PTSD. That made sense to me and I thought well I hope they avoid the fireworks then. I live right in back of Knotts Berry Farm and last night they had fireworks. My goodness, I never was aware at how loud and scary they sound. It does sound like bombs exploding. I can view the fireworks out one of the bedroom windows and so I didn't go watch because I have seen them before. LOL. So being in my room......I realized how scary they do sound. So I pray for the soldiers who have to listen to this as we celebrate a day made for them.

Forget the the learning curve with the sewing machine. What about the cat, at least they brought the piece back. I got a good laugh out of that. LOL

i'm enjoying seeing everyone finished blocks. I still have 7 more blocks to go. 2 each day until I mail later this week. My plan to mail out Wednesday.

Happy memerial day to everyone. Going out to eat with a Neice and her friend, later.

Another block down today!! I like the ones in twos! I can prep two sets at a time and assemble back to back! I spent the morning finishing up my critter fence around the new vegetable garden and then planting my little seedlings I started indoors. Turns out my garden isn't quite big enough for everything I started...may have to do a second one! I got bitten by every bug in Maine along the way though...so it was nice to come in and clean up and sew in my non-insect infested home!! I WILL get these done!

We have June Gloom here in Southern Cal. The sun does not shine until 12 - 2. Then it does get warm. My grand niece is coming down to go to Disneyland with the three little girls. So I have been house proofing my house the best I can. When you retire and live virtually alone, (My son does live with me), my living area is my sewing room. So I have to get all that cleaned up so little girls do not get hurt with anything that can hurt them. LOL. Who knew sewing had so many potential dangers. LOL.
Blocks are due to be mailed by Monday June 1st.
