One of the ladies in the Boom swap explained how to post pics here, so this is my center. Originally it was going to be a wall hanging, but I think it will be perfect for this. However, it measures 22 1/2" right now. I either need to add another 1 1/2" all the way around to bring it to 24 1/2", or take off the existing border, which will leave it at 18 1/2". What do you think?

Your border is beautiful with the center, why don't you just make it 21 1/2"? You'd just have to trim an inch off and you can leave it. Looks like you did an awesome job, can't wait to see it in person.

a thin black border also would be a great addition make it more stained glass of an edge

Well Happy Days! we are having lunch Jaba and I with Kelly! I love meeting members, it makes chatting so much easier when you can put a face to someone. We will hopefully post a pic of us all together here before we stuff our face that is

Fingers are itching for that next round!

Does most everyone in this group know each other? It sounds like several of you do, and several of you also live fairly close, at least in the same state, or adjoining states. Just wondering?

brat just moved here from CA and lives about 20 minutes from me, Kelly lives in MT but is about 5-6 hours away. Just met Kelly today face to face, but we've all been in swaps together on the board for the last 2 or so years.

And I've known Teri (TeriandDylan) and Amy (AmyB) for years and years - they were the ones who got me started with quilting and I got them started on the board. We used to all live within 2 hours of each other in Kansas and then I moved to Montana in 2011.

Can I just say lunch was fun but man oh man am I ready to get to sleep tonight and go home tomorrow! 1,100 miles in 3 days is enough for me.

It was fun Kelly, glad we finally got to meet. I came home and mowed, 2 acres worth, I am so tired too. And Brat is exhausted, talked to her a while ago and she had to take a nap. Hope she gets to sleep most of the night. You're probably there too or getting ready and I am on my way. Chat tomorrow.
