yes, it is a friendship block -- I did right hand for the middle ones and left hand for the corners. I thought it would make for a more interesting design. I also thought friendship was very appropriate.

A question about the poodle block. I'm going to the fabric store today and I was hoping to match the poodle fabric a bit more. Is it a taupe color?

Also, I added a four inch border on Mim's quilt so the finished square is only 20" square. She requested smaller borders so I tried to oblige. I just wanted to give a head's up to the next quilter inline.
