b.zang, wowzer! Yeah, that's looking really good! What seamless color coordination is going on for this one! If it measures 36 1/2" on a side, then you're done-- if not, then add a little border. It looks like you have a 1/4" seam at the point, so I assume it's not 36" yet, if the top came to you at 24".
Aren't all the quilt tops handsome!

The colours in this top are all my favourites!
I wanted to reflect the movement from the center and played around with windmills and other twists, even trying to design my own long diagonals off-setting the point but in the end, the fabric matched so well anything else just detracted from the harmony.

    givio,
Yes, those are 1/4" seams at the points. The quilt did not come to me at 24" because mim has requested smaller borders (see post at http://www.quiltingboard.com/member-...ml#post7644199). I'd kind of like to hear from mim before going ahead and adding a small border just to add up to 36".

By the way - if my quilt top is smaller, that suits me perfectly, as I like the look of growth from the center.

I have been looking at givio's center all afternoon. It keeps telling me what it doesn't want but I think I maybe know what it does want now. Of course, that means a trip to the LQS...OH darn...... ;-)

b.zang, Oh, if she wants smaller borders, by all means, just do as you like. :-)

maryb119, You're kidding! Buy something? :-) I put that colorful fabric in the envelope with the center in the hopes that everyone had something in their stash that would work. Even if you go outside the colors already there and add a new one, it would be fine with me. I love scrappy. On the other hand, if you need an excuse to go shopping, then be my guest. lol

I have a small piece of yellow that matches perfectly but for what I have in mind.....I don't have quite the right color. Everything is just a shade 'off' and might do OK but I am picky and I want it to look its best. Besides, I really don't mind a trip to the quilt shop. I will send the fabric you sent along when I send it on. There will be a place for that in the future, I'm sure. It matches perfectly.
