Well those are fabulous fabrics! I really like the Kansas fabric! Is that from this years state shop hops? Would love to get my hands on some! That is my families home state.

It was for the shop hop back in 2009, I believe. I bought 5 yards and then never did anything with it - so I figure I can use it in my center and send some along for my team members to incorporate.

I found this pin on Pinterest: http://pinterest.com/pin/243898136042838241/

I drew it out in EQ and it should be 24" square when I finish. I believe the pattern is called "All Hallows"

I have it narrowed down to four block patterns now just need to choose one. I can then move on to picking out the fabrics. Thank goodness we have until Oct 1st.

Haha, that's exactly what I was thinking. Initially when all the discussion was going on I thought "Yikes" do I need that ready in the next couple of weeks? Sure was a relief when I remembered the rules said October.

Oh Me Oh My - I have been stressing to get my block and I have until October???? I thought that was when the first rows needed to be done and sent. Whew - how do you spell relief???
I did make a paperpieced block but I wasn't happy with it ... so now I can relax a bit!

Sorry everyone... I wasn't trying to rush you! I start student teaching at the end of August and so I've got between now and then to get the "must do's" done... I want to make sure that I can keep up if things get a little overwhelming at the beginning of the semester. I'm a planner and a prepper - if I can have a plan, a back up, and a back up back up then I'm ok and I can sleep at night. I've got my center about 85% together - by tomorrow night I'll have a picture to show!
