Thanks for the compliments. I was working way above my head on this one. I created the design by modifying Debra Gabel, zebrapatterns.com, NYC city stamp pattern.

Better get ready; it is coming your way. Some ideas for the next row include the following. What does Audrey think?:

My suggestion for next row is a Harbor scene with stature of Liberty and ships decorated for the holidays. This however is not my decision to make.
… continue with a harbor scene of sorts too... a touch of faint half-square triangles in the "water" and maybe a lighthouse to the side...

… elfs in an underground Santa's workshop.
    … the subway

I wish I had thought to send a lable for everyone to sign. Is it too late to get one going?

no, you can still do one. Send it to your point person then she'll just forward it on til it meets up with your quilt.

I am totally speechless toooooooooo! How beautiful is that!!
You guys won't believe this but I am almost done. All I have to do is sew the squares together. I can't believe it!!!!!!!!
I have never been so happy.
I have to say with all the crud that has gone on in the last few months (MIL passing being sick over and over, moving etc etc etc) I am so happy it is behind me!!!!
I am looking forward to the next row and pray the one I just finished is ok.
    Blessings, Candi

Honestly I like both ideas, even a ice skating rink(lol) One row can have a christmas tree maybe little presents. My thought in the beginning was santa in the sky, mountains, roof tops and then homes with window showing different stages of the night. The underground elf shop sounds good too. That being said I really love where this is going right now. I really want it to look like one big picture. I plan to use snow flake fabric or red/white stripe fabric and make it look like candy canes. A good place to look for ideas is Fat Kat quilt patterns most are free.
