Hallelujah! School is out for the summer. I have been quilting up a storm this weekend. Actually... I have been cleaning up a storm - my sewing area. It is amazing how quickly scraps and threads and tools have a way of finding the oddest places to reside. I still have a ways to go, but at least I feel better about having gotten a little accomplished. I will be starting on the row as soon as I finish one more project. I still have a few weeks. Whew.

Miss G, I really like those gold stars in the center block. and the progression of the rows is perfect. Really hard to see in these pictures, but in my center block, some one is sitting under the tree, just to the right. So they are looking at those gold stars! Awesome and just perfect!

I thought I took a pic with my camera, nope, not there, and not on phone either, discovered it missing after mailing, so thanks pdcakm for posting the pic. Pretty proud of this one, points much better than the sky blocks, and that is hand applique on the center block, if I may do a bit of bragging. I had thought to do 3 appliqued blocks, but that one took so long, I just used the panels to hurry, since I was way behind.
Birds have finally settled down and talked to me, told me what they wanted.I picked up some way cool fabric this week, and I get to quilt tomorrow!
Took a much needed break, just me and some of my sibs to locate some family graves and do other family history stuff.

So, find the camera, find the usb cord, figure out how to download from the camera, then figure out how to upload to the board, whew. Here goes nuthin':
I like the row, I'm just not sure it works well with the other rows. Would it be better to replace the hst's with fussy cut birds, like the centers of the 9 patches? Not sure if you can tell from the pics, but the calico print in the hst's are little birds, and the darker part of the 9's is a flower print with blue and yellow flowers, and just a tough of green leaves. can't get a good close up.
