    ooooo :cry: so sorry - but that one has happened to me and this is what I did..
    provided you have more green background fabric - wash it first!! then take larger seams as bookworm suggested [you can make them a new 1/4" from smooth cut edge - cut with serrated scissors if you have & add fraycheck-a must]

    Instead of sewing the churndash sections together directly, cut 2" wide sashing and sew to one side of each section first [all right or all left sides] this way you will see how much more you really need to meet the size requirement. Your birds look so nice inside the churndash, it would be great if you could keep it. good luck

    Bookworm :? ya need to light a fire under all of us ~ in group 4 especially ....no comments here either for a while :hunf: are we all sewing hard or hardly sewing :?: yes, of course that goes for me too - I always seem to be working under pressure with too many choices. :roll: I have picture in my brain but trying to shake it outta there :? applique or piece... dark or light background... plus I NEVER prewash, so gotta change my ways with this board [btw - yes I prewashed the winter DJ squares]... let's get movin and sharin ladies :thumbup:

    The second picture is the one I meant to post. The bottom row is the one I added to maine ladybug's quilt. We are part of the Early Birds.

    Wow!! I am SOOO glad I am not an early bird! I would be freaking out. Although, my group is ubber talented as well! Oh well....I have to learn a ton since I'm surrounding myself with all this talent...LOL :D
