"ALL" this personal information is supposed to be sent as a PM (Personal Message) to "Bookworm" ..... so that it is under "lock & key" .... she will handle everything from her end. By you posting it like this ... every single "Nutcase" out in the Internet World has access to your personal information and you are asking for a whole lot of trouble.

Can some of the experienced Row-Robin quilters explain the labels? Are we supposed to include that too? This is my first actual swap on the board, except for secret pals - so I need a little guidance. LOL TY!!!

It's nice to include a label that everyone who works on your quilt can sign and then you can sew it to the back of your quilt and always remember those who worked on it for you. It can be as simple as a piece of plain colored fabric or as fancy as you would like. Some people print their label onto fabric with a place for the row #, board name, real name, and city of the person making the row. Some include the name of the block the row is made from. I'm sure it's not a requirement, but it is nice to have.

Our quilt guild stresses adding a label. as our quilts are an ever-lasting tribute to us as individuals, and as quilters.
Just get a Pigma Pen at Wal-Mart or a quilt shop, Hobby Lobby, ect. You can write right on the fabric, or make a label out of a light-colored material.
Write your name, date made, and maybe a short washing instructions.
I bought labels from Keepsake Quilting; not expensive, and you get a lot for the money. They have different designs.
Then just sew the label on by hand.
    Mariah.

I think the label is one of the coolest parts of the whole thing! It will be so cool to look back years from now and see all the places that your quilt traveled! Here are some links that will show you what the labels look like in case you couldn't find the page numbers:

    http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-71332-28.htm

    http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-81293-3.htm

http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-59910-3.htm (look about half way down the page)

http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-59910-5.htm (again, look about half way down and you'll see several really pretty labels)

I hope that helps give you an idea. They can be from REALLY simple hand written on muslum to fancy! Have fun!

    but i don't care!! lol,
i used left over triangles from the autumn leaf in the first row.
i will finish the decorative stitching on the top pinwheel when it returns home to me next year as i didn't want to remove the freezer paper!! that block was added afterwards!
    there is a gap left underneath 'row robin' for our group name, and i'm about to add this motto at the bottom;

    'Many faces, many smiles, :)
    Remember me across the miles'...

    i just found it on-line. :)
(feel free to use it as well,)
    How big is this label?

I came up with a quilt label. Since my theme is "Buds and Blooms", I drew a large butterfly for everyone to put their names, etc. on. I also drew a smaller one to make 5 of to keep one and send out the other 4 with my information on them. What do you think of this?

    MASSIVE!!! LOL...

i didn't measure it, but it's on it's way over to USA right now.
    probably around 25" sq...
i would advise to make it smaller than that, but i wanted the ladies to have enough room to be able to write all their details without running out of space...
i'd rather have too much room, than not enough!
