"Orphan" blocks; you will eventually use them. I have a stack of 5" squares I swore I would never us.
Sure enough; we are getting ready for a work day with guild, and I have almost enough for a community quilt.
    We never know!

mmm, i actually prefer the darker to be honest, sorry!
i just looks richer & warmer to me, whereas the reverse side looks wishy washy and very close in 'value' to the patterned fabric next to it.
    thanks for explaining though!

"Short" & "Sweet" -- I think like my fellow "Early Birds" ... either side of the fabric could be used .... however if it were me, I would also lean more to using the "right-side" of the fabric .... I feel it is "rich in value" and would retain that value.

I just used up a bunch of 5" squares making a lap quilt using the three-seam block ("10-minute block). It was the fastest thing I ever put together I found the tute here on the board.

I love your block; beautiful fabric. I made fabric flowers for one of the blocks on my row last night. It seems like lots of fun to me!
